BACKGROUND AND TRAINING IN MUSIC
Received initial violin training in South Indian Classical music (Carnatic) from Late Vidwan M.K. Chennakeshavan, disciple of legendary Carnatic musician, Padma Vibhushan Dr. M. Balamuralikrishna Received advanced training in theory and aspects of Carnatic music from Vidwan R.S. Ramakanth (son of legendary Carnatic musician, Padma Bhushan R.K. Srikantan). Started playing violin at the age of five and gave first performance at the age of nine Violin playing and performance experience in South Indian Classical (Carnatic) music for more than twenty years. Also well versed in playing different genres of music on the violin such as Fusion, Bollywood songs, Ghazals, Pop and Irish music. Have given numerous concerts in India and in the UK.
MUSIC CERTIFICATIONS
Passed junior exam with first class in Indian Classical music (Instrumental Violin) at the age of nine Western music theory course from the University of Edinburgh, UK with a score of 98% Developing musicianship course from Berklee College of Music, USA with 100% Teaching the Violin and Viola course from Northwestern University, USA with Distinction. Western Classical music composition course from National University of Singapore with 92%.

Karthik Mani on Ghatam Founded “Karthik Subramany Live”, a unique multi-genre fusion band consisting of accomplished professional musicians, the band has deep roots in Carnatic music and also play Bollywood, Pop, Ghazals, Irish folk and more. The band has given four concerts at Phoenix MarketCity, Bangalore and received overwhelming response from the audience on all the occasions.
