Lucy Mary was born June 20, 1944 in Sidney, MT at the family into the strong, loving hands of her father and mother. Lucy always cherished her family & the memories she made with her siblings In Loving Memory Of and parents, and devoted all of her life to her family and those around her. She was always proud of the accomplishments of her loved ones, acting as Lucy Angel a cheerleader & advocate, inspiring many along life’s path. Lucy made everyone feel important. She had a great sense of humor & enjoyed a good laugh. Lucy was a “mini-McGuyver”; she could take ordinary items and turn them into useful gadgets or whatever she needed. She loved to bake, crochet, & loved to dance. She loved flowers and was very proud of her flower garden. She loved photography, poetry, & music, playing the alto saxophone in the Sidney High School band. She and her brothers & sisters shared their lovely singing voices at many Road Shows, Youth Confer- ences, and Sunday services. Lucy enjoyed working on the family genealo- gy. Lucy counted many as her friends because she treated everyone she met with love and respect. Everyone was either a sister or brother to her, related or not. She was known for her honesty, reliability, service to oth- ers, and her great faith in her Heavenly Father. Lucy grew up in Sidney MT where she was educated & worked at various occupations throughout her lifetime. As a young person she worked along-side her family in the beet fields and served as a second mother to her siblings. As a teenager she worked as a dishwasher at the Lalonde Hotel. After returning from a mission for her church, Lucy & her sister Connie made cinches at Richland Saddlery. Lucy later worked in Billings at Montgomery Wards in freight & accounting. Lucy had a great talent for cooking. In Sidney she worked as a cook at the Lalonde, the Ea- gle Café, The Corner Pocket & the Triangle, and was famous for her homemade tortillas. Lucy cherished her work for the Migrant Program in Sidney caring for the babies in the nursery, whom she spoiled. Lucy was well-loved by the school children of Sidney when she worked as a lunch lady. Prior to her second battle with breast cancer, she enjoyed working at Pamida, considering them her second family. Lucy served as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Lat- ter-Day Saints in Argentina. She learned to love and appreciate the humili- ty and faith of the Argentine people. A faithful member of her Church for all of her life, Lucy served the Lord as a Primary teacher, Sunday School teacher, Visiting Teacher, & Relief Society Chorister. In 2002, Lucy successfully battled breast cancer. She was always upbeat, saying she was grateful for cancer because it helped her remember what was important in life.
