Strawberry / Orange JELL-O®

Want a sweet treat containing wholesome for your kids? Try this easy dessert.

Prep Time: 5 minutes Cook Time: 3 minutes Chill Time: 2 hours, 15 minutes

Ingredients Tools & Utensils • 1 3-oz (85g) package orange JELL-O® dessert • Pot What you’ll need: • 4 large strawberries • Medium bowl

• 3 cups water (divided) • Measuring cups*

• 1 carton frozen whipped topping, thawed (optional) • Spoon

• 4 plastic cups

• Knife

Directions: Pour about 2 cups of water into a pot and bring to a boil. Pour entire packet of gelatin into a medium bowl. Add 1 cup of boiling water to the gelatin and mix well (at least 2 minutes or until dissolved). Carefully discard any extra boiling water left over in the pot. Stir in one cup of cold water into the gelatin mixture. Pour mixture evenly into four plastic cups. Place cups in the refrigerator.

About an hour and half later, rinse and chop strawberries. Mix the fruit evenly into the JELL-O cups. Place cups back into the refrigerator and chill for at least 45 minutes.

Just before serving, add a dollop of whipped topping to each JELL-O cup. Enjoy! Hints and tips: The great thing about this dessert is you can mix and match JELL-O and fresh fruit to come up with a multitude of delicious combinations! The JELL-O package warns, however, that you should not use , kiwi, gingerroot, , figs or guava, as these do not allow the gelatin to congeal properly.
