CHAPTER 9 Word

More Skills 11 Insert Hyphenation

᭤ A is a character that divides a word between the end of one and the beginning of the next. When you hyphenate words, you usually increase the number of words that can fit on each line. ᭤ You can hyphenate words by typing a hyphen, or you can set Word to hyphenate automatically as you work with the document. ᭤ You can modify the hyphenation options in Word to produce the type of hyphenation you desire. For example, you can prevent Word from hyphenating words that have uppercase letters.
