Saint Joseph’s Parish Marian Consecration 33 Days to Morning Glory Please join us in consecrating St. Joseph’s Parish to the Blessed Mother on January 1 at the 10:00am Mass. The consecration is the culmination of the Advent observance at St. Joseph’s beginning at the end of November. You may participate in one of two ways. OPTION I is the At-Home Retreat. You purchase the book 33 Days to Morning Glory: A Do-It- Yourself Retreat by Fr. E. Gaitley (Marian Press). You begin the prayers of consecration on November 29 with Day 1 and continue for 33 days. The prayer of consecration will be said on January 1. OPTION II is through a weekly, Monday evening gathering. Participants gather from 7:00 to 8:30pm in the Good Shepherd room on the following dates: November 18, 25, December 2, 9, 16, and January 6. The book, 33 Days to Morning Glory, which is $10.00, will be ordered. A workbook is also available for $15.00. Purchasing the workbook is not required. You begin the prayers of consecration on November 29 with Day 1 and continue for 33 days. The prayer of consecration will be offered on January 1st. At the New Year’s Day Mass for the Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God, Fr. Wolfe will consecrate St. Joseph’s Parish to the Blessed Mother while you join in consecrating yourself to Jesus through Mary. Social Justice—Service to Others THANKSGIVING DAY FOOD COLLECTION: St. Joseph parishioners have always been most generous in donating food to the St. Vincent de Paul Society at the Thanksgiving Day Mass. Manna bags for use are in the communication center at the back of church on the Blessed Virgin Mary side. The items most needed are: SPAM, tuna fish, canned stew, canned soups, canned pasta sauce with meat, pasta, egg noodles, rice, canned beans, tuna helper, canned vegetables, canned fruit, pudding cups, peanut butter, jelly, pancake mix that only requires water, pancake syrup and ready to eat cereals. Note: We can not accept out of date items. The offertory collection that day is also donated to St. Vincent de Paul Society.

HOLIDAY GREETINGS & GOODIES FOR OUR TROOPS: St. Joseph parishioner, Maya Pieters is accepting Christmas cards made out to Dear Soldier signed by your first name only. Cards can offer prayers, thanks and Christmas wishes. Please, No glitter nor confetti. On the outside of each card write to an American Soldier. Maya is also collecting indi- vidually wrapped candy canes, packets of chewing gum, peanut brittle, trail mix or protein bars (avoid choc- olate). Items and cards will be sent to the Middle East for our deployed American soldiers. All items should be placed in the back of church in the box marked Support Our Troops by December 1, NO EXCEPTIONS, in order to arrive in time for Christmas.
