Valley Health Lab Services

We are pleased to offer discounted rates for laboratory services provided at the Warren Memorial Hospital Community Safety & Wellness Expo on Saturday, April 18, 2020, at Warren County High School. Staff from WMH Laboratory Services will perform collections beginning at 8 a.m. A 12-hour fast is required for the Community (General) Wellness Panel.

If you would prefer to have your specimen collected on a different date, vouchers are available for purchase at the WMH Business Office, beginning March 1. You may also purchase a voucher on the day of the Expo. For your convenience, the WMH Laboratory is open weekdays, 6 am to 6 pm, with extended hours on Thursdays until 8 p.m., and Saturdays, 8 am to noon. Vouchers are redeemable through July 31, 2020.

We will be offering the following blood tests at discounted rates: • Community (General) Wellness Panel $45 (CBC), Comprehensive Metabolic Chemistry Panel (CMP), , and Stimulating Hormone (TSH) – see back for test descriptions

• Prostatic Specific Antigen (PSA) $15 Measures the level of prostate specific antigen, a protein produced by the cells of the prostate gland. This test has been approved to detect prostate and other abnormalities in males.

• C-Reactive Protein – high sensitivity (hsCRP) $15 Used to predict a person’s risk of cardiovascular

• Vitamin D $20 Determines the level of vitamin D. Low levels of vitamin D can result in a decrease in bone density and muscle weakness.

See reverse side for additional tests and information. • Vitamin B12 $20 Determines the level of vitamin B12. B12 is important for keeping the body’s nerve and blood cells healthy. Low levels of B12 may lead to more serious health issues including anemia.

•  A1C (HgbA1C) $20 Determines the average blood levels over the past two to three months and used to diagnose and to monitor diabetic patients.

CBC – A complete blood count (CBC) gives important information about the kinds and numbers of cells in the blood, especially red blood , white blood cells, and . A CBC helps your doctor check symptoms such as weakness, , or bruising, you may have. A CBC also helps him or her diagnose conditions, such as anemia, , and many other disorders.

Comprehensive Metabolic Panel – A comprehensive metabolic panel is a blood test that measures your sugar (glucose) level, and fluid balance, function, and function.

Lipid Profile – A lipid profile is a series of tests that measures the amount of the different types of — low density lipoproteins (LDL), high density lipoproteins (HDL) and in your blood.

TSH – A blood test used to check for thyroid gland problems.
