Council 11801 Business Meeting Minutes For July 10, 2017  Call to Order – meeting convened at 7:30 by Deputy Grand Knight David Vincent  Warden’s Report – all were present and accounted for.  Prayer – led by DGK Vincent  Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag – led by DGK Vincent  Roll Call of Officers – completed.  Opening Ode sung  Approval of Minutes of Previous Meeting – motioned and approved.  Report of Admission Committee and Reading of Applications –none.  Balloting for membership – no new applicants.  Grand Knight’s Report – on behalf of Grand Knight Bob May, thank you very much for all the help before and during our 2017 chicken dinner Festival. Congratulations to Ken Motz, new 4th Degree Knight. o July birthdays – George Kascsak, Bud Bower, Frank Richnavsky, Don Prall, Ron Stoner, Fr. Steve, Fr. Leo, Chris Schmidt. o August birthdays – Richard Selander, Gary Becks, Mark Kearney Steve Hadzinsky, Tom Franek, Doug Paroff, Clayton Struthers, Lenny Barcikoski.  Chaplain’s Report – None this evening.  Financial Secretary’s Report of Receipts – $71 bill from Supreme for the culture of life. We also sent $160 to Happy Days from the Cash Bonanza.  Treasurer’s Report -- Checking - $4,805.59, Savings $681.555, CD $2135.41. $28.21 from Pennies For Heaven. Auditors’ Report is complete and is to be signed at tonight’s meeting.  Report of Auditors and Trustees – none  Unfinished Business – Keep recruiting! Cal’s is ongoing through the Fall. Shirts are on order. Abraham Scholarship responses need to be in by July 31st.  New Business – Discussion of Summer Steak Fry was active! Question of whether we should have one was presented, discussed and voted on. The vote was to have the Steak Fry. Closer attention to cost of steaks for this summer. Ultimately it was voted 6-6 for the dinner, with the Deputy Grand Knight voting for the dinner. One major reason was to continue the ‘community’ that the dinner provides, and ALSO to award the scholarship at this dinner. Altar and Rosary will assist. Bob May played a major role in the success of the Winter fry. There was a vote also for chicken breasts to be added to the menu, which was approved. The dinner will be August 12th, starting at 4 p.m. Also, letter was read from Diocese thanking us for the $100 support of ‘First Step for Change’ campaign.
