THE ZOMBIES FEATURING & TO PERFORM AT THE PARKER PLAYHOUSE

FORT LAUDERDALE – AEG Live and The Broward Center present British rockers led by original members Rod Argent on piano and Colin Blunstone on vocals on Thursday, February 25 at 8 p.m. in the Parker Playhouse.

Aside from and perhaps The Beach Boys, no mid-'60s rock group wrote melodies as gorgeous as those of The Zombies. The band scored hits during the with “She’s Not There,” “” and “.”

Odessey and Oracle, a near-masterpiece of pop/psychedelia released in 1968, is ranked 80 on magazine’s list of the 500 Greatest of All Time.

The Zombies are cited as influences by such artists as Billy Joel, Courtney Love, Badly Drawn Boy, , Super Furry Animals, Magic Numbers and The Arctic Monkeys.

Argent and Blunstone revived The Zombies and released Still Got That Hunger in 2015, a year in which the band also returned to SXSW and streamed a live concert from House of Blues New Orleans.

In a review of Still Got That Hunger, Rolling Stone Magazine wrote, “When the Zombies sang ‘This Will Be Our Year’ in 1967, they were selling themselves short — they're still going,”
