Weekly Photo Challenge: EVERYDAY OBJECTS

Watch this video to see basic examples of photography composition. Composition is the way in which something is put together or arranged. Suggestions on ways to achieve more successful photo composition are widely available on the internet, so don’t feel like you have to stop after watching one video. Each week I will give you a challenge to capture a photograph that shows successful composition with a given prompt, or subject.

This week’s photography prompt is EVERYDAY OBJECTS. Because the theme this week is Pop Art (see videos in first section of choice board for more information on the Pop Art Movement), our photo challenge focuses on the subject matter that is at the heart of the art movement – simple objects that we use every day. Because this subject matter can be somewhat basic and ordinary, how you compose your shot will be very important. How will you make everyday objects stand out to make memorable photos? Look at the examples below and start planning your own ideas!
