Retired Today issued an executive order establishing a President's Committee on Rural Poverty and a National Advisory Committee Commission on Rural Poverty.

Today received a report from Secy Gardner that over 29, 000 men and women who were formerly unemployable are now working and supporting themselves and their families as the result of federally aided job-training programs carried out by State and local public welfare agencies.
