By train and bus Nottwil railway station is a ten-minute walk away. Trains run every half an hour to and from Lucerne and to and from Basel, Berne, Geneva and Zurich (via Sursee). Nottwil railway station is accessible to wheelchairs. The Nottwil campus also has its own bus stop (Nottwil, SPZ) and is linked to the regional bus network.

By car Nottwil is close to the A2 motorway (Basel – Lucerne). Leave the motorway by the Sursee exit and follow signs for Nottwil. Fee-paying parking spaces are available in the campus­ car park.
