The results of the analysis show that Malamang tradition contains local wisdom value in the fields of economy, environmental preservation and cultural planting of minangkabau culture. Malamang tradition can be used as a teaching material supplement by adjusting core competencies in high school geography curriculum. In addition, Malamang tradition also contributes to conservation of the existence of bamboo trees.
