SPRING 2016 TERM The city of Okayama was founded over 400 years ago to support Okayama-jo (Castle), the only black castle in Japan. Tutors aid students in adjusting to their new life in Okayama, course registration, understanding class schedules, assistance in learning and practicing the Japanese language and shopping.

These prices are an estimate and are subject to change. The Okayama University program is an exchange, meaning students pay Chatham tuition and fees. These clubs create great opportunities for exchange students to interact with Japanese and other international students. Some of the clubs offered include American football, tea ceremony, Japanese traditional music, kendo, judo, bowling, swimming, horseback riding. All clubs meet on a regular basis, and offer activities and events for students to participate in. International students are welcomed and are encouraged to join a club or society to meet local students, as well as to improve their command of Japanese language.

ACCOMMODATIONS Exchange students will be assigned at Kuwanoki Dormitory on the Tsushima Campus. It is located a convenient distance from shopping facilities. Residents of Kuwanoki can enjoy the amenities of the common facilities, including a conversation hall, library, and a Japanese-style room. It accommodates 150 residents in total. All rooms are equipped with a private kitchen, a toilet and a bathtub, a bed, a desk, a chair, a refrigerator, air conditioner/heater and free internet service.
