PEACH COUNTY RECREATION DEPARTMENT T-BALL RULES (5-6 Training League) 1. No score will be kept in this league. 2. Ballgame will be 6 innings in length or 55 minute time limit. At the time limit, the batter at bat will be declared last batter and game will end. 3. Each team will have at least 2 times at bat. Every player that is present will get to bat. Each team must keep the same order the entire game with late arrivals being added to the bottom of . Team must have at least 7 players to start game. There will be a 10 minute grace period on first game of the night. 4. After each inning, the six will move to outfield and 6 will move to infield. This rotation will continue through the entire game. Players that do not get to rotate to infield will be required to start next game in infield. 5. All players will take defensive positions. not allowed; will cover home plate on plays at plate. must remove “T” for runner to cross home plate. No more than six infielders allowed and only one in the position. First and third basemen not allowed to play in any closer to batter than pitcher (example: pitcher is 46 feet from home plate). and no closer than back of pitcher's circle. 6. A home run line will be drawn. A ball crossing line on fly is automatically a homerun. A ball rolling across is all a player can make. A player may cross line to field ball. If caught in the air, batter is still awarded home run. 7. No bunting. 8. Slinging bat in T-Ball is NOT an . 9. The ball must be hit solidly from tee. If ball rolls off tee or does not go beyond white line in front of plate, a dead ball is declared. Runners cannot advance. 10. No infield fly rule. 11. Coaches allowed behind homerun line to position players. 12. No strike-outs. 13. Once ball is controlled by or on the infield side of time line, play is halted. This applies to throws from outfield or overthrows returned to infield. (Exception: Force plays only can be made from the outfield.) Time line extends from fence to fence. Base runner will be awarded next base if past half-way line marked between bases when time is called. 14. Five (5) coaches only in dugout. 15. One coach allowed at each base when at bat. Coaches are not allowed to touch base runner. First violation is warning; on second violation, runner is out. 16. All players are to remain in dugout when not in field or at bat. 17. Practices two times Monday through Friday and once on weekend while still in school. This includes games, combination of 3 times. When school is out, no limit, between coach and parents. One hour fifteen minutes practice time. 18. No tobacco in any form allowed in parks. Use of profanity will result in dismissal from game; second offense dismissed for season. 19. Any coaches suspected of alcohol use prior to or during practices or games will be dismissed from the program. 20. All players not registered after team drafts will go on the waiting list for assignment. There will be no additions to team rosters after 65% of games have been played in any league. REV 4/3/06
