Netherlands Plant Protection Service Route description to the main office in Wageningen

By car from direction Utrecht or Arnhem The NPPS can be reached by taking the ‘Wageningen / Bennekom / Ede’ exit on the A12 motorway. Follow the signs for Wageningen. At the third roundabout, you turn right (‘Geertjesweg’). The Plant Protection Service is located after about 500 meters at your right-hand side.

By car from direction Rotterdam Take the exit ‘Rhenen’ on the A15 motorway and follow the signs for ‘Wageningen’. After the roundabout you turn left at the third set of traffic lights. When you reach the department store ‘Gelders IJzerhandel (GIJ)’ on your right-hand side, you turn right (‘Geertjesweg’). The Plant Protection Service is located on your left before the first intersection.

By public transport from Schiphol Airport (Amsterdam)

1. Train from railway station Schiphol to railway station Ede-Wageningen. • The train journey takes approximately one hour. • Schiphol railway station is situated directly below the airport. Train tickets from Schiphol Airport to Ede-Wageningen (Euro 13.00 for a single ticket) are available from the yellow ticket machines near the platforms at Schiphol Plaza. Tickets are also available from the ticket offices, which are situated close to the red/white-checked cube at Schiphol Plaza. Staff at the ticket offices will also be able to provide you with train departure information. Departure information is also available on http://www.ns.nl (English version available). • First you need to travel from Schiphol to Utrecht. Then, change trains for direction Arnhem or Nijmegen. All trains for this direction stop at Ede-Wageningen.

2. Bus or taxi from railway station Ede-Wageningen to the city of Wageningen. • The station Ede-Wageningen is located approximately 10 kilometres north of the city of Wageningen. At the railway station Ede-Wageningen you can either take a taxi or bus. • Taxis are available outside the station. A taxi ride to the Plant Protection Service (Geertjesweg 15) takes approximately 15 minutes and costs approximately Euro 22.00. • Bus line 83 and 86 leave every 10 minutes to the central bus station in Wageningen. Travel duration by bus is approximately 20 minutes, and costs Euro 2.40. Walking from the bus station to the Plant Protection Service takes another 10 minutes. You need to walk in the direction of the ‘Albert Heijn’ grocery store, and follow the ‘Churchillweg‘. Continue along this road until you reach the department store ‘Gelders IJzerhandel (GIJ)’ on your right. Then, take a right turn (‘Geertjesweg’). The entrance of the Plant Protection Service is located on your left after approximately 150 meters.

By taxi from Schiphol Airport (Amsterdam) The company ‘Schipholtaxi’ provides direct taxi transport from Schiphol to Wageningen. A regular taxi (1–4 persons) costs approx. Euro 140.00 and a taxi-bus (1–8 persons) costs approx. Euro 150.00. Estimated travel time is one hour.
