Hearing Session 19 – Alternative Sites

Action Point 19.1: Agenda Item No.Qn 4a

BCBC would supply statutory consultation responses on Ty Draw planning application to the Inspector and to the Council’s witness Robert Hathaway. The Council would review whether it could forward the responses from other interested persons with suitable redaction of details.

Appendix A details all the statutory consultation responses received to date in respect of planning application P/12/796/FUL: Land at Ty Draw Farm.

Action Point 19.2: Agenda Item No.Qn5

BCBC would supply details of public transport services for the Cefn Glas site.

There are bus stops on Barnes Avenue which is about 150m east of the site boundary. This is served by a half hourly service to Bridgend Town Centre (Service Number 1).

Additionally, Service Number 2 serves bus stops on Llangewydd Road which is about 250m south of the boundary (accessed via the proposed pedestrian access on the sites southern boundary). This again is a half hourly service to Bridgend.

The times of these two services are co-ordinated so that, together there is a bus every 15 minutes serving this general area.

BCBC will send an updated appendix to the Inspector to include that the ratio is now changed from 60% brownfield 40% green field to 58% and 42%.

The following table details the proportion of housing land allocated under Policies COM1 & COM2 of the LDP that is proposed on greenfield sites as opposed to previously developed land taking into account the new and amended housing allocations.
