INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL ADVERTISEMENT 1.0 PREAMBLE Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the following vacant academic positions in the College of Medicine, Lagos State University.

1. Department of Nursing, Faculty of Clinical Sciences • Professor - CONUASS 7 • Associate Professor - CONUASS 6 • Senior Lecturer - CONUASS 5

2. Department of Medical Microbiology and Parasitology, Faculty of Medical Sciences • Lecturer I - CONUASS 4

2.0 QUALIFICATIONS FOR VACANT ACADEMIC POSITIONS

2.1 PROFESSOR (CONUASS 07) Candidates MUST possess Ph.D [in Nursing] with Ten (10) years Post- doctoral/Fellowship qualification experience in teaching/research in a University. He/She must also possess some years of post-qualification teaching and research experience in a University with several scholarly publications, administrative experience and demonstrate ability to provide academic leadership.

2.2 ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR (CONUASS 06) Candidates MUST possess Ph.D with Eight (8) years Post-doctoral/Fellowship qualification experience in teaching/research in a University. He/She must also possess some years of Post qualification teaching and research experience in a University with several scholarly publications, administrative experience and demonstrate ability to provide academic leadership.

2.3 SENIOR LECTURER (CONUASS 05) Candidates MUST possess Ph.D [in Nursing] with Six (6) years Post-doctoral/Fellowship qualification experience in teaching/research in a University. He/She must also possess reasonable scholarly publications, administrative experience and demonstrate ability to provide academic leadership.

2.4 LECTURER I (CONUASS 04) Candidates MUST possess Ph.D/Fellowship of National Postgraduate Medical College or its equivalent [in Medical Microbiology and Parasitology] with three (3) years Post- doctoral/Fellowship qualification experience in teaching/research in a University. He/She must also possess reasonable scholarly publications.
