Among the most important international agreements ratified is United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), Kyoto Protocol, United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity, United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification, Convention on Long-range Trans-boundary Air Pollution and Protocol to the Convention Financing of the Co-operative Program for Monitoring and Evaluation on the Long-range Transmission of Air Pollutants in Europe (EMEP Protocol), Vienna Convention for the Protection of the Ozone Layer and Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer, etc.
