Abstract-Seven species of the genus Delphinella, i.e., D. subehaperi (Retowski), D. erimensis (B urckhardt), D. obtusenodosa (Retowski), D. tresanensis Le Hegarat, D. delphinensis (Ki lian). D. janus (Retows ki ), and D. peetinata sp. nov., and the species Berriasella berthei (Toucas) from the upper grandis Subzone ofthejaeobi Zone of the Berriasian of the Crimean Mountains are described. Their stratigraphic distribution is different from that in the stratoty pe area,

HISTORY OF STUDIES . The authors of thi s paper have a large collection OF DELPHINELLA SPECIES (several tens of specimens) of Delphinella shells, col­ lected over years in the Crimea by v.v. Druschits, Retowski (1893) described an usual grou p of BT. Yanin, T.N. Bogdanova, S.v. Lobatscheva, v.A. Pro­ ammonoids characterized by ornamentation that zorovskii, T.A. Favorskaya, V.V. Arkadiev, and Yu.N. Savelieva. These shells were found predomi­ nantly in the eastern Crimean Mountains (vicinity of Feodosiya) and, to a lesser extent, in the central Crimean Mountains (basin of the Tonas River), where the clayey carbonate beds of the jacobi Zone are wide­ spread (Fig . I). In the section on Cape St. lIya (Fig. 2), the assem­ blage of Delphinella (D. subchaperi, D. crimensis. D. obtusenodosa, D. tresanensis.
