2016-2017 OTTO M. BUDIG ACADEMY UNIFORMS

During the 2015-2016 Season, the Academy launched a new uniform line in partnership with Motionwear. After feedback from many of our families, we’ve concluded it to be in the best interest of our students to change several of those uniform selections for the 2016-2017 Academy Year. Our hope is that these new selections serve as a long-term solution and better provide for the comfort of our students. New uniform details are provided below along with information on designated retailers.

GETTING STARTED

While we are eager and excited to usher in this new look for our Academy students, we understand change takes a little bit of time. As such, we hope to alleviate some potential concerns you may have from the very beginning. Because we know many of our families have invested in our prior uniform, all of our returning students are welcome to wear their 2015-2016 Academy uniforms throughout the first half of the year if desired or needed. We would love to have everyone transition to the new uniform by January 2017. If that transition is of particular concern for your family, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us. We’d love to pursue some options or solutions with you.

For all of our new students who are in need of uniforms as they join the Otto M. Budig family, we hope to outfit you with this new line from the beginning. Please note this new line has just gone into production. While Motionwear is locally based and offers quick turn-around time, we recommend calling ahead to your local retailer to determine if they have the size you need in stock. If not, they will be happy to acquire your style and size at their earliest opportunity. If there is any delay in getting new uniforms prior to the beginning of classes, students should wear a black camisole or tank leotard.

Additional Performance Uniform: Upper level students selected for Academy performance opportunities may be required to purchase an additional performance uniform. More detailed information will be provided to those students at a later date.

To purchase Academy uniforms, the Academy is happy to refer you to one of the local dancewear retailers noted below. Due to the Ballet Center’s limited capacity to stock necessary sizes and to provide for all your dance retail needs, we have partnered with four retailers (each in a different region of the greater Cincinnati area) who are designated providers of Otto M. Budig Academy uniforms and offer exclusive discounts to our students. These retailers are dedicated to the full scope of service our Academy students deserve and have the requisite expertise to make recommendations on sizing, fit students for pointe shoes and order directly from suppliers if a student requires a unique size or item. We are confident the level of support you will receive will be an asset to both your student and your family. As such, we encourage you to shop local and seek out the partner retailer nearest you.
