Dress Code Dancewear selections must present a clean and professional appearance allowing the instructor to clearly see the dancer’s body. This includes refraining from wearing dance attire with large graphics and logos. Bare legs, bare midriffs, loose or sloppy warm-up pants, cut-off tights, and plastic sweat pants are not permitted in classes. Personal grooming is also important. Hair must be securely fastened off face and neck in order not to interfere with the execution of turns and jumps. Students must also refrain from wearing heavy or sharp hair ornaments and jewelry. There are several days during the year when the Instructors may allow less rigid dress, e.g., Halloween, Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, etc. The Instructor will announce these days in advance. BALLET THEATRE OF CARMEL Welcome to the Ballet Theatre of Carmel’s 2015-2016 Season! This packet contains infor- mation to give parents a general idea of what to expect regarding their dancer’s participa- tion in BTC. Subject to Change. GENERAL SCHEDULING The rehearsal schedule is communicated via email and posted on the bulletin board near studio 1. It is subject to change so be sure that BTC emails are making it to your inbox. ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS Your dancer's requirements are listed by level here http://ballettheatreofcarmel.org/ about/required-classes. - If your dancer does not meet their class requirement during a given week, you will re- ceive a reminder e-mail listing the number and type of classes to be made up. - Make-up classes can be attended either the week of or the week before an absence, as well as after the fact. So if your dancer has absences that are planned (family vacation, fi- nal exams, school presentations, etc), you can avoid an e-mail notification and spread out necessary make-up classes. - Even if you told us why your dancer will be missing class, you will still receive a notice if your dancer's total is below the requirement. - When attending make-up classes, please pick up (or remind your dancer to pick up) a make-up class form from the front desk. This will help ensure that the student’s atten- dance is marked properly in the roll book. - Occasionally you may receive an e-mail notice in error. Please let us know if this is the case, so the attendance records can be updated.

  • Difference Between Leotard and Bodysuit Key Difference - Leotard Vs Bodysuit
Difference Between Leotard and Bodysuit www.differencebetween.com Key Difference - Leotard vs Bodysuit Leotard and bodysuit are two garments that look almost the same; this is why the difference between leotard and bodysuit is unknown to most. The key difference between leotard and bodysuit is that a leotard is a skintight, one-piece garment which covers the torso of the wearer but leaves the legs exposed whereas a bodysuit is a one-piece, form-fitting garment that covers the torso and the crotch of the wearer. The event or occasion of wearing either is also largely different from one another. What is a Leotard? A leotard is a skintight, one-piece garment which covers the torso of the wearer but leaves the legs exposed. In that sense, a leotard is very similar to a swimsuit. Unisex garments, leotards are worn by performers who require overall body coverage without hindering flexibility. Leotards are commonly worn by dancers, gymnasts, acrobats, and contortionists. Leotard is also a part of the ballet dress and is worn beneath the ballet skirt. Leotard has an extended history; it was first introduced in the 1800s, by the French acrobatic performer Jules Léotard (1838–1870), from which the name of the garment was derived. Originally leotard was designed for male performers, but it became popular with women in the early 1900s as a swimsuit. The Early leotard was referred to as the maillot by Jules Léotard. Today, leotards are available in a variety of colors and materials, preferably lycra or spandex (a material with an exceptional elasticity that helps to shape the body better).
