NBA D-LEAGUE AFFILIATE - CANTON CHARGE

The Canton Charge (27-15), presented by SecureData 365 and powered by the Cleveland Cavaliers, defeated the Erie BayHawks (11-30), 117-99, in front of 3,514 at the Memorial Civic Center on Saturday night (March 12). Canton’s Nick Minnerath led all scorers with 26 points on 9-of-15 shooting in 32 minutes off the bench. provided an all-around effort of 18 points on 6-of-11 shooting with six boards and five assists in 24 minutes on assignment from the . John Holland netted 16 points on 5-of-9 shooting in 21 minutes. Canton improved to 15- 1 this season when scoring over 100 points at home, while their third-ranked scoring defense helped boost the Charge to 16-5 overall this year when holding opponents under 100 points.

The Charge host the Maine Red Claws (Boston Celtics affiliate) at the Canton Civic Center for their next game on Wednesday, March 16th at 7:00 p.m. The game, a make-up for the cancelled School Day matchup on January 20th, will feature special ticket prices for all fans to enjoy. ROCKIN’ THE Q: The Cavs opened the 2015-16 season at The Q on Oct. 30 against the Miami Heat, which was their 11th straight home opener sellout. The Cavs have sold out the arena in all 33 home games so far this season. To date, including regular season (373) and playoffs (45), there have been 418 sellouts at The Q and 84 consecutive sellouts (regular season and playoff games only, dating back to 10/30/14).

 The Cavaliers sold out each of their 41 home games at Quicken Loans Arena in 2014-15, their second time selling out every game in the regular season (2009-10).  Cleveland also filled up the arena in all 10 home games during the 2015 Playoffs.  The team’s 400th sellout (regular + post) at The Q came on Jan. 2, 2016 against Orlando.
