SEEING STARS: Kyrie Irving (starter), LeBron James (starter) and Kevin Love (reserve) were selected to the Eastern Conference roster in the 2017 NBA All-Star Game. It marked the first time the Cavs had multiple starters in the event and the third time that three Cavs players were selected to an All-Star roster (Brad Daugherty, Larry Nance and Mark Price in 1989 and 1993).  NO. 13 FOR LEBRON: James was the top overall vote-getter in the conference among all three voting groups (fans, media, players) and had the most fan votes in the NBA(1,893,751). His 2017 All-Star appearance marked the 13th consecutive (all starts) for the two-time NBA All- Star Game MVP (2006 and 2008). He became the fifth player in league history to start at least 13 All-Star Games, joining (15), Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (13), Bob Cousy (13) and (13). THE CAVS ON LA MEGA 87.7 FM: Veteran broadcaster Rafael Hernández Brito, known as Rafa "El Alcalde", continues to bring his high-energy play-by-play style to each game in Spanish on the Cavaliers broadcast on LA MEGA 87.7 FM. La Mega 87.7 FM will continue to broadcast all 82 regular season games and all preseason and postseason games in Spanish. The 2016-17 season is the third in franchise history that Cavaliers games are covered in a second language.

Each Cavaliers broadcast begins with a 15-minute pregame show, hosted by Hernández Brito, which sets the scene for the game, including the latest news about the Cavs and the NBA. Following the game broadcast, he also hosts the postgame show, which features a complete recap with highlights and postgame commentary.

Nationally, Hernández Brito’s broadcasting experience includes 8 years as the voice of NFL football for Spanish Broadcasts on Univision from 2005 to 2013, and he has worked 11 Super Bowls. He was also the Spanish play-by-play voice of the Miami Dolphins, as well as handling the play by play for Major League Baseball, boxing and UFC. Rafa has covered the last five Soccer World Cups. With the 2015 NBA Finals, he became the first broadcaster in the United States to call the Finals of all 3 major sports in Spanish.

D-LEAGUE AFFILIATE - CANTON CHARGE

CHARGE HOLD ON FOR SEVENTH WIN IN A ROW: The Canton Charge (26-17), powered by the Cleveland Cavaliers, took their seventh-straight game in a 120-116 victory over the Rio Grande Valley Vipers (26-16) in front of 3,459 at the Memorial Civic Center on Sunday afternoon.

Trailing 116-114 and 1:44 left in the game, Canton held RGV scoreless the rest of the way in forcing five misses over a 6-0 run. The victory was the Charge’s first- ever home win over the Vipers in four attempts over the franchise’s six seasons. The Charge will finish 4-1 against the Southwest Division in 2016-17. Canton’s seven game win streak sets a new season-high for consecutive wins.

John Holland led all scorers with 36 points on 11-of-12 from the foul line and 10-of-21 from the field in 42 minutes. Quinn Cook netted 30 points on 11-of-21 shooting with nine assists and six boards in 40 minutes. Eric Moreland notched his 22nd double-double of the season by scoring 10 points and grabbing 15 rebounds with two steals and five blocks in 40 minutes. Today was Moreland’s 14th game this season with 3+ blocks and 7th with 5+ rejections.

The Vipers were paced by their trio of players on assignment from the . Isaiah Taylor had a team-high 24 points with four assists in 44 minutes. Troy Williams also scored 24 points on 11-of-17 shooting in 23 minutes off the bench. had a double-double of 19 points and 17 rebounds in 35 minutes.

Jonathan Holmes boosted Canton with 15 points on 6-of-8 shooting and 3-of-4 from three-point range before fouling out after 23 minutes. Cameron Jones came off the Charge bench to provide 15 points on 6-of-11 shooting in 31 minutes.
