SEEING STARS: Kyrie Irving (starter), LeBron James (starter) and Kevin Love (reserve) have been selected to the Eastern Conference roster in the 2017 NBA All-Star Game. CHARGE FALL ON THE ROAD TO RAPTORS 905: The Canton Charge (18-15), powered by the Cleveland Cavaliers, were defeated by the Raptors 905 (24-9), 118-88, at The Hershey Centre on Saturday night. Canton finished the week 2-1 in playing three road games in three cities over four nights.

John Holland led all scorers with 22 points on 7-of-14 shooting with five rebounds and four assists in 37 minutes. Kevin Olekaibe came off the bench to net 17 points on 6-of-11 shooting, including 5-of-8 from three-point range, with a pair of steals in 26 minutes. Roosevelt Jones added nine points, eight boards and two steals in 41 minutes. Eric Moreland scored eight points with nine rebounds, five assists and three blocks in 36 minutes. ROCKIN’ THE Q: The Cavs sold out all 41 regular season home games in 2015-16, the third time in franchise history the team has accomplished that feat (2009-10 and 2014-15). La Mega 87.7 FM will continue to broadcast all 82 regular season games and all preseason and postseason games in Spanish. The 2016-17 season is the third in franchise history that Cavaliers games are covered in a second language.

Each Cavaliers broadcast begins with a 15-minute pregame show, hosted by Hernández Brito, which sets the scene for the game, including the latest news about the Cavs and the NBA. THE CAVALIERS 13TH ANNUAL BLACK HERITAGE CELEBRATION PRESENTED BY HENNESSY: The Cleveland Cavaliers 13th annual Black Heritage Celebration (BHC) presented by Hennessy tipped off on February 1st at the Cavs vs. Minnesota Timberwolves game at Quicken Loans Arena. The BHC, a salute to Black History Month in February, recognizes the extraordinary past achievements of African Americans throughout history and celebrates those making a difference in the Cleveland community today.

The month-long celebration will be themed “Empowering and Inspiring One Generation to the Next.” Each theme night will honor African American visionaries and pioneers who inspired the youth of today. Featured will be the stories of NASA’s Annie Easley and Dr. Guy Bluford; Cuyahoga Community College’s year-long educational program about the achievements of Carl and Louis Stokes; and the great Muhammad Ali. The BHC will also provide young professionals with an ultimate learning experience through the Marcus Graham Project marketing workshop.

“The Cavaliers continue the tradition of the Black Heritage Celebration with a program built to honor African American visionaries of the past, spark conversation about the future and recognize those determined to make an impact today for the betterment of coming generations,” said Campy Russell, Cavaliers Legend and BHC committee leader.
