THAT’S LOVE-LY: Despite missing 23 games this past season, Kevin Love had 31 double-doubles, which was tied for 15th-most in the NBA. He earned his 5th NBA All-Star selection in 2017-18 and finished the season averaging 17.6 points and a team-high 9.3 rebounds (12th in NBA) in 28.0 minutes. He shot a career-high .880 from the foul line (12th in NBA) and was the only NBA player in 2017-18 to average at least 9.0 rebounds while making at least 125 threes. After knocking down his 1,000th career three-pointer in a win over Toronto on March 21, Love became the only player in NBA history to have a career average at least 10.0 rebounds and make 1,000 threes or more.

HUGE COMEBACK IN THE BIG APPLE: In Cleveland’s 104-101 come-from-behind victory at New York on Nov. 13, 2017, the Cavs overcame a 23-point deficit (73-50) late in the third quarter, outscoring the Knicks 54-28 the rest of the way. The last time the Cavs overcame a deficit of at least 23 points was Nov. 11, 2006 vs. Boston (trailed by 25 PTS and won 94-93). 5TH NBA FINALS APPEARANCE: The Wine & Gold advanced to the NBA Finals for the 4th consecutive season and 5th overall (2007, 2015- 2018). The Cavaliers clinched their Finals appearance after defeating the Boston Celtics 4-3 in the 2018 ECF and joined the Celtics (1957-1966, 1984- 1987), (1982-1985), (2011-2014) and (2015-2018) as the only franchises to make four straight NBA Finals. John Michael will return for his eighth season as play-by-play announcer and will be joined by Cavalier Legend Jim Chones, who will be back for his ninth season as color analyst. Returning for his 27th year is studio host Mike Snyder, who will anchor all pregame, halftime and postgame shows. Former OSU great and NBA player Brad Sellers is back for his eighth year as postgame studio analyst. Each broadcast on the Cavaliers Radio Network begins with “Huntington Tip-Off Show,” an inside look at the upcoming game. Hosted by Snyder, the show airs 30 minutes prior to game time. It is a comprehensive look at what is happening around the NBA, including interviews, highlights, game reports, injury updates and a preview of the Cavaliers game with John Michael while Jim Chones provides his Keys to the Game. Following each game broadcast, fans can participate in the “Tito’s Nightcap Recap postgame call-in show. Snyder will be joined by Chones and Sellers to provide game analysis and review the stats and highlights. Fans will hear comments from players in both locker rooms, Coach Lue’s postgame press conference, news from other games around the league, as well as comments from Cavaliers fans everywhere. THE CAVALIERS ON LA MEGA 87.7 FM Veteran broadcaster Rafael Hernández Brito, known as Rafa "El Alcalde", continues to bring his high-energy play-by-play style to each game in Spanish on the Cavaliers broadcast on LA MEGA 87.7 FM. La Mega 87.7 FM will continue to broadcast all 82 regular season games and all preseason and postseason games in Spanish. The 2018-19 season is the fifth in franchise history that Cavaliers games are covered in a second language.

Each Cavaliers broadcast begins with a 15-minute pregame show, hosted by Hernández Brito, which sets the scene for the game, including the latest news about the Cavs and the NBA. Following the game broadcast, he also hosts the postgame show, which features a complete recap with highlights and postgame commentary.

Nationally, Hernández Brito’s broadcasting experience includes 8 years as the voice of NFL football for Spanish Broadcasts on Univision from 2005 to 2013, and he has worked 12 Super Bowls. He was also the Spanish play-by-play voice of the Miami Dolphins, as well as handling the play by play for Major League Baseball, boxing and UFC. Rafa has covered the last five Soccer World Cups. After calling the last four NBA Finals (2015-2018), he became the first broadcaster in the United States to call the Finals of all 3 major sports in Spanish.

LIRON FANAN NAMED CAVALIERS DIRECTOR OF G LEAGUE PLAYER DEVELOPMENT Cleveland Cavaliers announced the addition of Liron Fanan (LEE-ron Fan-an) as Director of G League Player Development. In her role, Liron will work to enrich Canton Charge players off the court through both League and team initiatives. In addition to her Charge responsibilities, Fanan will also utilize her extensive international basketball background to the Cavs scouting department and General Manager Koby Altman.

“We are thrilled to welcome Liron to the Cavaliers organization and for her to become involved in all of our basketball operations initiatives,“ said Altman. “She’s a basketball lifer with incredible experience internationally and has a great basketball acumen we are very fortunate to have.”

Fanan comes to Northeast Ohio after having spent the last nine years co-founding and managing her own agency, 2Talent Sports Management, where she built a roster of athletes to serve their needs through player contracts, individual business interests and community engagement. Prior to venturing on her own, Liron served as Assistant General Manager for Maccabi Tel Aviv from 2005 to 2009, where she oversaw the club’s marketing and ticket sales efforts in addition to her basketball responsibilities. Fanan, a native of Israel, also has spent time on the side involved with NBA Summer League, NBA Basketball Without Borders and the NBA’s Global Camp in Italy.
