SACRAMENTO – The Suns concluded a memorable season with a victory to finish the season at 48-34, tied for the second-best mark in the SUNS 104 modern era without making the playoffs, beating the Kings 104-99 at Sleep Train Arena. In a season tagged “Ignite The Future,” the final chapter provided yet another spark to the Suns’ bright future as 19-year-old Archie Goodwin had the best performance of his rookie campaign. Goodwin KINGS 99 set a Suns’ record for points scored in a game by a teenager with a career-high 29 points on 11-of-13 shooting in 31 minutes off the bench. Regular Season Game 82 Marcus Morris also excelled for the Suns off the bench, tying his season-high with 22 points, in addition to grabbing a team-high six rebounds. The game was tied at 47-47 at halftime and the Kings led 74-71 heading into the fourth quarter, but the Suns’ shot 12-of-17 from the field in the final frame of their season to outscore Sacramento 33-25 and leave with a five-point victory. In a night marked by rookies providing a glimpse of Sleep Train Arena things to come, Ben McLemore led the Kings with career-highs of 31 points and five assists in the final contest of his first season in the league. PHOENIX – Fighting for their playoff lives, the Suns erased a 13-point deficit in a wild game that saw a Suns’ season-high 22 lead changes with all GRIZZLIES 97 22 coming in the second half before the Grizzlies scored the game’s final seven points to clinch a postseason berth and eliminated the Suns with a 97-91 victory at US Airways Center. The Grizzlies led 46-33 late in the first half before the Suns took a 9-0 run into halftime. The Suns SUNS 91 continued the run by scoring the first five points of the second half to take their first lead at 47-46. The game entered the fourth quarter tied at Regular Season Game 81 67-67 and for the first 11 minutes of the final period neither team led by more than one possession as the fourth quarter alone featured 15 lead changes before a Mike Conley three-pointer put Memphis ahead 93-91 with 1:08 to play and a and fast break lay-up extended their lead to 95-91 with :47.4 remaining. Randolph led the Grizzlies with a season-high 32 points while Mike Miller also scored a US Airways Center season-high with 21 points on 5-of-6 shooting from long range. Markieff Morris led the Suns with 21 points off the bench on 10-of-16 shooting. DALLAS – For the second time in as many nights, the Suns lost a double-digit lead in the state of Texas as the Mavericks came back from 13 SUNS 98 points down to clinch a playoff berth with a 101-98 win in a pivotal contest for Western Conference playoff positioning. The Suns went on a 15-2 run over a four-minute stretch towards the end of the first half to break a tie and take their largest lead of 13 points. The Suns would match MAVERICKS 101 their lead three times in the third quarter, leading 69-56 with 5:58 to play before the Mavericks went on a 17-5 before the end of the period run Regular Season Game 80 to cut their deficit to one point. The Mavericks took their first lead of the second half at 88-87 with 6:42 left and would lead for the rest of the game. The Suns had two chances to ties the game in the final 20 seconds but Eric Bledsoe’s layup was blocked by Brandan Wright and Markieff Morris’ three-pointer missed at the buzzer. Plumlee became the eighth Sun to be selected to the All-Star Weekend event, joining Wesley Person (1995), Trevor Ruffin (1995), Michael Finley (1996), Steve Nash (1997), Shawn Marion (2001), Amar’e Stoudemire (2003, 2004-MVP) and Markieff Morris (2012). Plumlee played for TEAM HILL (general manager is former Sun Grant Hill) and against his younger brother of the who played for TEAM WEBBER. The Plumlee brothers are the first siblings to both be selected to the Rising Stars Challenge in the same season. TEAM HILL beat TEAM WEBBER 142-136.

TIED FRANCHISE RECORDS The Suns tied a franchise record in the third quarter at Cleveland on Jan. 26, allowing just six points which ties the Suns’ team record for fewest points allowed in a quarter, matching the mark set in the fourth quarter at Memphis on Feb. 2, 2002, and the fourth quarter vs. Golden State on Feb. 28, 1999. The Suns held the Cavs to 2-of-22 shooting in the period, also tying a record for fewest opponent field goals in a period with two (done several times, last on Feb. 28, 1999, vs. Golden State).

FIRST SINCE 1977 At Orlando on Nov. 24, the Suns shot 1-of-3 from the free throw line and set franchise records for both fewest free throws made (previous two vs. Minnesota on March 20, 2007) and fewest free throws attempted (previous four vs. Minnesota on March 20, 2007, and at Memphis on Dec. 17, 2005) in a game. The Suns’ one made free throw tied for the second fewest by a team in any game and tied an all-time NBA record for fewest free throws made by a winning team, only previously done by the New Orleans Jazz in a 103-101 win at Houston on Nov. 19, 1977.
