It is a day of celebration of the culmination of one or more years of study. I hope it will be an occasion that you will remember fondly for the rest of your lives. It is also an important day for the parents, partners, family, and friends of the graduates. The achievement of a degree is one that is seldom accomplished without the support of those nearest to us. Today is a celebration which you are very much part of too. Message from the AeU was setup in 2007 to fulfill an aspiration of the Asia Cooperation CHAIRMAN Dialogue (ACD) countries to develop quality human capital for the region, by providing flexible and affordable higher BOARD OF education. The AeU is a successful initiative of Malaysia as a co-prime mover of Education and Human Resource Development Pillar, one of the six ACD priority pillars of co- operation. He guided and propelled WOU’s rise to prominence, not only in Malaysia, but also internationally, before he was succeeded by Emeritus Prof Dato’ Dr Wong Tat Meng. Under Raj’s leadership, WOU has garnered several international and national awards and recognition. Once again, our highest salutation and heartfelt appreciation to Raj! I was honoured and humbled to be appointed by the Wawasan Open University Sdn Bhd (WOUSB) Board of Directors (BOD) as the BoG Chairman to succeed Raj in March 2017. In addition, Dr. Habib is the Visiting Scientist of University of Texas – Arlington, USA. Prior to that, he was Associate Professor at BRAC Business School, BRAC University, Bangladesh; Asia Graduate School of Business (AGSB) at UNITAR International University, Malaysia; Dept. of Operations Research/Decision Sciences, Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), Malaysia and Dept. of Operations Management, American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB). He is the Editor-in- Chief in International Journal of Supply Chain Management (IJSCM), London, UK (SCOPUS Indexed). He accomplished his Ph.D. and M.S. with outstanding performance in Computer & Engineering Management (CEM) under the Graduate School of Business (GSB) from Assumption University, Thailand.
