To Neville and Nadene a big thank you in supporting Player of the Day for our 1st team – your support over many years is very much appreciated. To Pam Luhrs, An Slecht and helpers, the work involved in keeping our tuck shop/canteen supplied and trading on practice nights and game days is a huge volunteer task. We as a club “thank you very much” for your time and effort Well the second half of the season is on its way. Let’s get to see some good results come our way, we certainly need them. All the best for today’s teams. We welcome Hibiscus Coast coaching staff, players and supporters – enjoy your day and our aftermatch hospitality. Congratulations go out to the following club members on the new additions to their families – Fadeel and Zhoya Khan on the birth of Rafayel on 12 June, Felia Frei on the birth of Xavier on 12 June and Dawn Nabong on the birth of Drizarnah on 14 June. Fadeel is a member of our NRFL 1st Division team, Felia a member of our Championship women’s team and Dawn a member of our Division 3 Cougars team. If you are at the club on a Sunday when the Cougars are at home you would think you had walked in on a crèche – the future of the club is there to be seen. Congratulations also go to Wendy Feke and Melissa Stevens of our Championship team who are trialing for the Tonga women’s national team. Here’s hoping. David Owen 3 COACHES COMMENTS Good Afternoon everyone and welcome to Murdoch Park for today’s clash against Hibiscus Coast AFC. A warm welcome Hibiscus Coast’s players, Coaching Staff and Supporters as well as the match officials. Since my last write up we have had one game which was at home to Mt Albert Ponsonby a fortnight ago. Last time we met the result was not great however with showing some good strength against stronger teams we felt if we put our mind to the job we could come out with the goods and push for a result. To the game and it did not start out how we would have wanted it too. A tackle deemed as a penalty by the referee was called and Mt Albert’s first goal was scored. Throughout the rest of the first half they played good class football and manage to get 4 goals to lead 4-0 at halftime. The second half goal was not to concede and try score some goals back. We managed to snatch a goal back however Mt Albert found a 5th for the score to be 5-1. Last week we had no game as we were scheduled to play Melville but as they were still in the Chatham Cup we had our game postponed which was good as it gave those players with injuries a chance to rest. To today’s game, we know we need to pick up points. We know that we have the players needed to do the job and pick up wins. 3points today will get us back in the hunt to move up the table and get out of the relegation zone. I believe the boys will be as eager and determined as I am to gain a successful result today and get the season back on track. I would like to again thank you the supporters who come down week in week out to support the boys. Enjoy the game and see you all afterwards in the bar. Paul Margison (Margee) 4 RESERVE TEAM Good Afternoon all and welcome to Murdoch Park. Welcome especially to Hibiscus Coast’s players, coaching staff and supporters. In the past two weeks we have only had one game. We had Mt Albert Ponsonby a fortnight ago at home and last week was a week off due to Melville’s involvement with Chatham Cup. The game against Mt Albert Ponsonby was a good hard thought game. Possession and territory were relatively even. With the score being 1-1 at halftime the game still was able to go either way. Managing to score a second goal in the second half through playing some good smart football rewarded us with a second goal. Playing strong through to the end of the second half saw us win the game 2-1. Last week we had no game due to Melville’s Chatham Cup involvement and we welcomed this as it gave the chance for the boys to have a rest and some relaxation time. To today’s game and we will want to continue the good run we are on. A win will boost our confidence further and push us up the table a little bit more. Last time we played Hibiscus Coast up there in the first round they nabbed the result from us but we will want to get the result needed today. Good luck to both teams Mickey Paea / Roland Coysh Reserves Last 3 Results: Reserves Next Game: Vs Mt Albert Ponsonby: 2-1 Win 12/7/14 Vs Takapuna AFC Vs Western Springs: 3-1 Loss Taharoto Park 12.30 Kick off Vs Eastern Suburbs: 1-1 Draw 5 JUNIOR REPORT Papatoetoe AFC 10th Grade Thundercats 1st Division On the 28th of June the 10th grade Thundercats got up bright and early, to catch the ferry over to Waiheke for there game. Unfortunately they had a loss but played extremely hard and did their best against a stronger team. On the way back the kids had much fun on the top deck fighting against the wind. The Thundercats are in the first division this season and so far have had two wins and two losses. They have three new players in their team who have never played soccer before so they have really stepped up to the challenge of joining a first grade team. At the moment we are 2 points below the team that is winning our division, so we still have a good chance of finishing well at the end of the season. Our team was also lucky enough to be the ball boys and girls for the Mens Team which was an exciting event for the team. Natalee Menzies – Manager 6 WEEK 14 - PAPATOETOE AFC VS. Box 75 122 War Memorial Park Manurewa Gibbs Rd Auckland Manurewa Phone: (09) 267 1120 Welcome to Mangere United to the second round of the NRFL first and reserves. This is second of four home games. Over these weeks of home fixtures it is time to get in behind both sides with the support they need to cross the line and turn the tables around. Don’t give up. Last week’s game was a goody and playing like that is what’s needed week in and out. As the season moves on think back as to whose helping, organising, doing that bit extra, managing, in all areas of the club so their names can be put forward to the different committees for possible end of year awards. I mentioned a couple last week. You should all by now have your raffle tickets yes even I got a book. Put in the effort - I have 5 left easy to sell with the great prizes. To all members a reminder that the club draw is at 6pm and while you wait with a drink or two or something from the cafe, sit and discuss the what could have been or now to make it better for all those involved with the game. A warm welcome Albany United, your players, coaching staff and supporters who have crossed the bridge for today’s clash. This is an important game for both teams. We hope to see you all in the clubrooms after the game for our hospitality. I would like to also extend a warm welcome to our new sponsor Auckland Abrasive Blast and Coatings (2005) Ltd, as well as those who have supported us long and hard this season. The past fortnight our men’s team has had two big games. A fortnight ago the guys played in the Chatham Cup up at Stanmore Bay against Hibiscus Coast and although they didn’t come away victors they certainly gave it their all. In fact to the point a penalty shootout had to decide who would advance to the next cup round. A credit must go to Mark, Scotty, Preston and Sean, as well as the boys, for the efforts they are putting in this season.

We Are North Shore SATURDAY 13th MAY 2017 – KICK OFF 2PM CHATHAM CUP – RD1 OFFICIAL MATCH DAY PROGRAMME OPPOSITION: METRO FC HEAD COACH– Tom Speers Good afternoon and welcome back to the the Hill for the 1st round of the Chatham Cup. I would like to welcome Mike and his Metro team here today, I expect it to be a lot tighter game than when they visited in the first game of season and I'm sure they will be looking to do a lot better than the 7-0 they experienced here that day. I love being part of the Cup and as there is only one cup competition in NZ I'm looking forward to hopefully going far. This club has a rich history in this cup, winning it 6 times, the last being in 1986, so fingers crossed we can progress into the later rounds of the competition and be there or there about towards the end. You can see the success we have had in this competition all over the clubhouse walls and talking with former players who have won it, we know how important it is to the club that we represent the club properly, so unlike the rumours I have been hearing, we will be playing a full strength squad and hoping every club in this competition do the same, resting players when you only have 1 game a week would be disrespectful to the longest cup competition on the planet and also be quite embarrassing for the clubs that do so. I hope you have a good day and hopefully see us progress, get behind the boys and make some noise.

WE AREARE NORTHNORTH SHORESHORE UNITEDUNITED SATURDAY 2nd SEPTEMBER 2017 – KICK OFF 3PM NRFL – RD 22 Fixture OFFICIAL MATCH DAY PROGRAMME OPPOSITION: MANUKAU CITY Tom Speers - Head Coach Welcome back to the Hill which sees us host our final game of the 2017 season. Firstly our huge congratulations to our visitors, Kevin and his Manukau team, who have achieved back to back promotions. This is a great achievement considering how difficult the league was this year, we wish them luck for next year. As it is our final game I’d like to thank a couple of people who have not only supported me but have helped the club massively this year, Tom Bray, Bill Lissington and Ben Wall, without your help this year would have not gone as smoothly as it has, so thank you. Reflecting on the year, even though we didn't achieve our main target, we can still be pleased with our efforts, considering only 3 members of our team survived from the 2016 season, building a new squad and still accumulating enough points to have gone is still something to be proud of. This years league was extremely competitive, and with the young squad we have I’m sure we will only push on next year. I would like to thank all the sponsors for their continued support as without you the club would not be able to run. And lastly I’d like to thank you, the fans, for your support, it has been great to have your backing week in week out and I know the boys and myself have really appreciated it.
