Spice & Tasting Tour 2.5-hour Tour Experience the flavor! Take a gentle walk through the plantation on our "Epiphyte Trail" (air plants), a winding garden path where you will experience the sights, tastes, aromas, and flavors of tropical spices, essential oil plants, tropical flowering plants and rock gardens. You will then pass the fish pond on your way to the Punta Mira Viewpoint, where in addition to the expansive view, you'll experience Villa Vanilla's by tasting of an assortment of gourmet spice treats and drinks. Recommended: Hiking boots or tennis shoes, and camera. Rates: $64 per adult / $33 per child under 10 years of age

Manuel Antonio National Park 3-hour Tour with Guide Hike with an experienced nature guide through Manuel Antonio National Park. Although Manuel Antonio attracts most visitors with its two pristine, white-sand beaches (Espadilla Sur and Manuel Antonio), the national park also includes protected coastal rain forest, mangrove swamp, coral formations, and twelve island seabird sanctuaries. Your guide will teach you about the park's flora and point out members of the park's abundant wildlife, which includes 109 mammal species (among them capuchin and squirrel monkeys, agouti, and three-toed sloths) and 184 species of birds. Soft drinks are included in the tour. Recommended: Sunscreen, a swimming suit, beach sandals, repellent, your camera, and a hat! NOTE: Conservation officials have fixed the park's carrying capacity at 600 people per day from Tuesdays to Fridays, and 800 on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. On Mondays the park is closed to the public. The park, which is usually open from 7 a.m. to 4 pm, is closed as soon as the capacity is reached for that day. Rates: $71 per adult/child

Isla Damas Mangrove Tour by Boat 4-hour Tour with Snack Isla Damas features three types of mangrove forest connected by a myriad of choked and hidden waterways. Guests on this highly recommended tour are often rewarded with sightings of white-faced monkeys, giant anteaters, three-toed sloths, exotic bird species, alligators, boa constrictors, rare crab-eating raccoons, and the list goes on. ATV Tour Half Day Tour NOTE: Minimum age: 16 You will experience the best adventure tour this area has to offer. Your bilingual guide will lead you through rustic unpaved roads, giant African Palm Plantations, cattle farms, and tropical towns such as Naranjito and Villa Nueva. You will enjoy riding up and down winding mountain roads while surrounded by the diverse tropical vegetation of the rainforest. Finally you will arrive at a beautiful waterfall where you can swim in the refreshing and crystalline natural water. Rates: $127 per adult/child – Minimum age 16 years old

Canopy Safari 5-hour Tour with Breakfast or Buffet Lunch Depart for an exciting zip line tour in the forest canopy! There are 10 zip lines and platforms strategically located platforms where you are most likely see the surrounding wildlife. Many of these platforms are almost 100 feet high, nestled in the trunks and branches of trees that are centuries old. Feel free to relax, as you take one of the safest canopy tours in Costa Rica. The rigging meets the safety regulations of the ACCT (Association for Challenge Course Technology). Your guides will point out flora and fauna along the way and provide information about the rainforest habitat. There are also two rappel lines and a Tarzan Swing, a butterfly garden and a snake exhibit. Remember to wear long pants and comfortable shoes. Bring your camera, binoculars, and insect repellant. Carara Biological Reserve 5-hour Tour with Guide and Snack This tour entails a 45-minute drive north Carara covers a low mountainous area of 4,700 ha. in a transitional climatic zone between the dry Pacific north and humid coastal south. This dry rain forest, though rich in vegetation, is relatively clear of undergrowth, which makes it easy to observe its abundant wildlife. Watch for some of the more visible birds: macaws, parrots, guans, toucans, trogons, flycatchers, kingfishers, and hummingbirds. Try also to catch sight of the howler, white face, spider, and squirrel monkeys, which can be easily observed. Among the cats, however, the jaguar, puma, ocelot, jaguarondi, and margay are rather difficult to see. So, look carefully, and also keep an eye out for more diurnal animals such as: coatis, sloths, agouitis, deer, peccaries, porcupines, anteaters, coyotes, and armadillos. Watch for common reptiles and amphibians, as well, such as: crocodiles, iguanas, lizards, frogs, and toads. You will spend approximately three hours exploring the trails under a canopy of giant trees. Recommended: Sneakers or walking shoes, light clothes, long pants, sunscreen, and binoculars. Naranjo River Rafting – (May-November) – Class III & IV 5-hour Tour with Snack The wild and ever-changing River White Water Rafting challenge is recommended for physically fit adventure seekers and experienced rafters who are familiar with Class III and IV rapids. On this high-octane, half-day adventure, the trip begins when the Naranjo River drops steeply from the Costa Rican mountains and charges though pristine jungle gorges, then winds around rocky curves to take you on a wild, adventurous ride back to sea level waters. While your internationally-trained, bilingual guides and safety kayakers work with you to navigate this exciting river, you'll pass by (rapidly) stunning farmland, working cattle ranches, and beautiful African Palm Plantations. Unlike the River Adventure, the Naranjo River Rafting Trip packs all its punches in a 7-mile ride that keeps your adrenaline level high for several hours. Water levels can rise rapidly on this Costa Rican river treasure, especially during the rainy season (May- October), that definitely brings the difficulty level up for any experienced rafter. After an adrenaline-kicking trip, enjoy local snacks and refreshments before heading back to reality. You must wear rubber-soled shoes (tevas or tennis shoes), swim suit, shorts, t-shirt and sunscreen. Don't forget your towel and a complete change of clothes! Rates: $84 per adult/child - Minimum age 12 years old

Savegre River Rafting Excursion 6-hour Tour with Lunch Minimum 2 participants to operate! NOTE: Children under 8 not permitted One of the most pristine rivers in the country! The Savegre River is surrounded by lush vegetation and meandering waters, and features class II and III rapids that are perfect for beginner rafters. Stops are made along the way for great swimming spots and breathtaking waterfalls. On most trip, rafters will observe egrets, osprey, toucans, parrots, kingfishers, cormorants, and many other species local to this protected area of the tropical rain forest. At the end of the trip, you will stop for lunch at the small village of Silencio before driving back to the hotel. Included: Transportation, guide, all equipment needed and lunch.
