ILSA strengthens its management team with six new executives

▪ The private high-speed operator strengthens its leadership with talent from Vueling, Amadeus and Transfesa (Deustche Bahn).

▪ Trenitalia provides key industry executives based on its extensive experience in operating high-speed lines.

OCTOBER 22, 2020.– ILSA, the first private high-speed operator in Spain, has appointed the first batch of executives who will make up its top management.

Trenitalia provides the key executives on the industrial side, given the company’s extensive experience in the operation and management of high-speed lines. ILSA’s Director of Operations will be Amato de Roma, and its Director of Operational Quality and Safety will be Marino Santopinto. Until their arrival to ILSA, they both held the same roles at the Italian operator. In addition to them, Ettore Camilli will run ILSA’s Finance Department.

The company’s new management structure also features Lina Vélez, its new Head of People and Talent, with a wide range of experience in human resources. Until a few weeks ago, she was in charge, among other areas, of the selection and training programme for Spanish train drivers at the German operator DB-Deustche Bahn through its subsidiary Transfesa.

New Directors of Technology & Digital DNA and Marketing & Brand

Óscar Santamaría has been appointed Marketing, Brand and Product Director of ILSA. He arrives at the high-speed operator from Vueling, an airline where he was Brand Manager for 15 years. Santamaria will be responsible for the brand and product positioning of ILSA, whose new commercial brand will be unveiled throughout next year.

This initial batch of appointments is rounded off by Rafael González, who was the Technology Director of Amadeus for Spain and Portugal. González will be responsible for ILSA’s Digital DNA.

With these incorporations, the operator chaired by Carlos Bertomeu continues working to connect , , Seville, Malaga, Cordoba, , Alicante and from 2022, and to bring a unique value proposition to the market that will revolve around innovation and sustainability.
