7Th May 2016 Vs Mangere United LOTTO NRFL Division 1 7 May 2016 3.00pm Manurewa AFC Club Rooms P.O. Box 75 122 War Memorial Park Manurewa Gibbs Rd Auckland Manurewa Phone: (09) 267 1120 www.manurewaafc.org.nz Sorry I missed last weekends game against Papakura. I believe it was a goodie. Unfortunately the Manu Hudson trophy was not up for grabs. I cannot see them agreeing to putting up the trophy when we meet again during the season. The Reserve team has missed out in the last couple of weeks but I am sure the coaching staff have an eye on this and we will see them back to their winning ways. Welcome to Mangere United first team and Reserves today to Memorial Park. Again like each week Rewa will need to bring its A game to take todays points as seen by the table and results. For those club members who do not know we have drawn North Shore United in the Chatham Cup. Unfortunately it is an away game on the weekend of the14th May. Lets see plenty of support on the side line to help advance them to the next round of the cup. With the school holidays there has not been a lot happening around the club and the park has been pretty bare. Looking forward to seeing you all back in action. Again as a reminder we are always looking for new committee members, helpers, kitchen and bar staff. Would be great to see extra helpers. See you at the games. Kerry Bevan President To Yash and Shayal Congratulations on your engagement/ marriage. We wish you all the best for your future together. From the Control Board, Senior, Youth and Junior Committees and all your friends at Manurewa AFC. 28 MAY Mt Albert Ponsonby RESERVES 12.30PM FIRST TEAM 3PM Reserve Coaches Comments A warm welcome to Mangere United today to our home fields. We are expecting 2 big games and I'm sure they will both be battles. Special hello to Aneel Curry - Maungawhau's finest. After a disrupted start to the season, then a good run of form, we have stalled a wee bit and need to put in a performance we can be proud of. Effort and attitude are things we need to get right, then hopefully the performance will follow. Good luck to Nath and our first team boys - let's keep this run going and good luck to all other REWA teams playing today. REWA HARD! This will be our 3rd South Auckland derby in a row, and there is no better way to get up for a game than to put your South Auckland pride on the line in the quest to be the best in the south. Mangere look like a totally different team from last year and given their results of late, look like a team that is starting to gel. We will have to step it up and compete if we want to get anything from today. Our away form has been promising thus far, but our home results have left something to be desired. If we want to remain in touch with the teams at the top end of the table, we need to make Memorial Park a fortress, one that teams fear to come, giving us that edge every time we step out on the field. I know we have a 12th man advantage at home with our superb supporters so I hope to hear you cheering on the boys nice and loud today. First team had a great victory over Papakura and just to confirm to all , no it wasn’t a Manu Hudson Cup game. The (League) game itself was great—a nice early goal set the game alive through Nickyand 20 minutes later Steve scored to make it 2 nil heading into half time. Second half was again first game back for Josh Ming and he got on the score sheet. The game ended 3-1 . Can’t wait for the return leg. Reserves played well. They went up early through Yash but couldn’t carry the momentum through to the end. It was great to Simon Bilton in goal! Div. 6 had great victory over Ellerslie 3-0. Today they play away at Metro - good luck to the boys. Over 35’s had a great start they went 1 nil up and ……. unfortunately the details after that 20 minutes are missing due to a glitch in the Heineken system! The boys play at Unimount today. Box 75 122 War Memorial Park Manurewa Gibbs Rd Auckland Manurewa Phone: (09) 267 1120 Welcome to Mangere United to the second round of the NRFL first and reserves. This is second of four home games. Over these weeks of home fixtures it is time to get in behind both sides with the support they need to cross the line and turn the tables around. Don’t give up. Last week’s game was a goody and playing like that is what’s needed week in and out. As the season moves on think back as to whose helping, organising, doing that bit extra, managing, in all areas of the club so their names can be put forward to the different committees for possible end of year awards. I mentioned a couple last week. You should all by now have your raffle tickets yes even I got a book. Put in the effort - I have 5 left easy to sell with the great prizes. To all members a reminder that the club draw is at 6pm and while you wait with a drink or two or something from the cafe, sit and discuss the what could have been or now to make it better for all those involved with the game. See you on the side line at the park. Kerry Bevan President WE NEED YOUR HELP Pablo Yackson is a crucial member of our first team and has recently shifted to New Zealand from South America.

A warm welcome Albany United, your players, coaching staff and supporters who have crossed the bridge for today’s clash. This is an important game for both teams. We hope to see you all in the clubrooms after the game for our hospitality. I would like to also extend a warm welcome to our new sponsor Auckland Abrasive Blast and Coatings (2005) Ltd, as well as those who have supported us long and hard this season. The past fortnight our men’s team has had two big games. A fortnight ago the guys played in the Chatham Cup up at Stanmore Bay against Hibiscus Coast and although they didn’t come away victors they certainly gave it their all. In fact to the point a penalty shootout had to decide who would advance to the next cup round. A credit must go to Mark, Scotty, Preston and Sean, as well as the boys, for the efforts they are putting in this season.

We Are North Shore SATURDAY 13th MAY 2017 – KICK OFF 2PM CHATHAM CUP – RD1 OFFICIAL MATCH DAY PROGRAMME OPPOSITION: METRO FC HEAD COACH– Tom Speers Good afternoon and welcome back to the the Hill for the 1st round of the Chatham Cup. I would like to welcome Mike and his Metro team here today, I expect it to be a lot tighter game than when they visited in the first game of season and I'm sure they will be looking to do a lot better than the 7-0 they experienced here that day. I love being part of the Cup and as there is only one cup competition in NZ I'm looking forward to hopefully going far. This club has a rich history in this cup, winning it 6 times, the last being in 1986, so fingers crossed we can progress into the later rounds of the competition and be there or there about towards the end. You can see the success we have had in this competition all over the clubhouse walls and talking with former players who have won it, we know how important it is to the club that we represent the club properly, so unlike the rumours I have been hearing, we will be playing a full strength squad and hoping every club in this competition do the same, resting players when you only have 1 game a week would be disrespectful to the longest cup competition on the planet and also be quite embarrassing for the clubs that do so. I hope you have a good day and hopefully see us progress, get behind the boys and make some noise.

WE AREARE NORTHNORTH SHORESHORE UNITEDUNITED SATURDAY 2nd SEPTEMBER 2017 – KICK OFF 3PM NRFL – RD 22 Fixture OFFICIAL MATCH DAY PROGRAMME OPPOSITION: MANUKAU CITY Tom Speers - Head Coach Welcome back to the Hill which sees us host our final game of the 2017 season. Firstly our huge congratulations to our visitors, Kevin and his Manukau team, who have achieved back to back promotions. This is a great achievement considering how difficult the league was this year, we wish them luck for next year. As it is our final game I’d like to thank a couple of people who have not only supported me but have helped the club massively this year, Tom Bray, Bill Lissington and Ben Wall, without your help this year would have not gone as smoothly as it has, so thank you. Reflecting on the year, even though we didn't achieve our main target, we can still be pleased with our efforts, considering only 3 members of our team survived from the 2016 season, building a new squad and still accumulating enough points to have gone is still something to be proud of. This years league was extremely competitive, and with the young squad we have I’m sure we will only push on next year. I would like to thank all the sponsors for their continued support as without you the club would not be able to run. And lastly I’d like to thank you, the fans, for your support, it has been great to have your backing week in week out and I know the boys and myself have really appreciated it.
