WHO’S

Stefano Bollani was born in 1972. He received his diploma in piano at the Cherubini Conservatory in Florence in 1993.

He made his professional debut at the age of 15 and since then has recorded many CDs and performed for major UN festivals around the world, at prestigious venues such as the Town Hall of New York and in .

An eclectic pianist, he blends irony, Italian color and a vivid ITALIAN AT THE relation with his past. He performed for the Orchestra Regionale Toscana, with the pop musicians Raf, Irene Grandi, , , Gino Paoli, Rossana Casale, and many others. STEFANO BOLLANI

SOLO CONCERT He is also involved in experimental electro-sound activities with Elliot Sharp, Zeena Parkins and and in jazz with , and , ,

Paolo Fresu, Dave Liebman and Tonino Horta. He also conceived and took part in theatre performances with the actor Monica MONDAY, 3 APRIL 2006 Demeru, David Riondino, Sandro Veronesi and .

As best jazz talent he won the 6:00 PM readers’ poll of the magazine AUDITORIUM Musica Jazz in 1998 and Django DAG HAMMARSKJÖLD LIBRARY d’Or Italiano in 2000. UNITED NATIONS
