OTOLARYNGOLOGY PRACTICE, BROCKVILLE, ON

I am planning to retire at the end of this year. It would be wonderful if someone were to take over my practice.

I have a solo practice in Brockville, Ontario, a city of 22000, in a catchment area of 75000 plus. Brockville is a beautiful city on the St Lawrence River, 1 hour from Kingston and Ottawa, 2 hours from Montreal, 3 hours from Toronto and 2 hours from Syracuse, NY.

I have 2 OR days a month and book 6 hours in the Ambulatory clinic every 2 weeks. This is very flexible and could be expanded depending on need. I do all my local anaesthesia there.

There is full 24/7 emergency coverage by qualified physicians. There are full ob-gyn, internal medicine, paediatric, urologic, ophthalmologic, general surgery, orthopaedic, and radiology specialists with CT. A number of these specialists are new young doctors in our community

I bill fee-for-service. I am on call 24/7 and may get one call every 10 days during office hours and would have the patient come across the street to the office. I will be called maybe once every 6 weeks where I may have to go into the hospital. For this there is a generous stipend.

I have two staff, a secretary and an audio technician. My secretary does all the booking, scheduling, typing of consult letters and billing. The audio tech has an impedance bridge and a sound cabinet for regular audiometry. She also does the office maintenance.

Needed is an Ontario medical licence and a fellowship in Otolaryngology.
