Rinner, Callahan Und Herron Bleiben in Tirol Rinner, Callahan und Herron bleiben in Tirol Die Saisonplanungen der SWARCO RAIDERS Tirol für die Spielzeit 2015 schreiten weiter voran. Jetzt gab der Club die Verlängerung der Verträge mit drei Assistant Coaches bekannt: Mario Rinner, Kyle Callahan und Kevin Herron werden auch in dieser Saison zum Trainerstab der Tiroler gehören. Rinner coacht erneut die Defensive Line. Callahan fungiert weiter als Spielertrainer und coacht die Wide Receiver. Herron zeichnet sich für die Linebacker verantwortlich. „Ich freue mich sehr, auch in Zukunft mit Mario, Kyle und Kevin zusammenarbeiten zu können“, erklärte SWARCO RAIDERS Tirol Head Coach Shuan Fatah. „Sie alle sind wichtig für den Erfolg des Teams. Jeder erledigt seine Aufgaben äußerst gewissenhaft und professionell.“ Rinner (35) kehrte 2014 in den Trainerstab der Kampfmannschaft der SWARCO RAIDERS zurück, nachdem er 2012 seine aktive Karriere nach 17 Jahren beendet hatte. Allerdings half er in der Zwischenzeit bereits als Defensive Coordinator des Junior Varsity Teams aus und coachte im Junioren-Nationalteam. Rinner war bei allen Erfolgen der SWARCO RAIDERS Tirol dabei. Er gewann drei Mal den Austrian Bowl (2004, 2006, 2011), den EFAF-Cup (2004) und drei Mal den Eurobowl (2008, 2009, 2011) mit den SWARCO RAIDERS. 2004 und 2006 wurde er zum Defensive MVP der Austrian Football League (AFL) ernannt. 2004 wurde er weiterhin als Outside Linebacker zu Düsseldorf Rhein Fire in die NFL Europa eingeladen. Der gelernte Zimmermann übernahm seine ersten Aufgaben im Coaching-Bereich Anfang der 2000er Jahre. 2007 wurde er hauptberuflich als Trainer bei den SWARCO RAIDERS angestellt. Lange Zeit fungierte er als Head Coach und Defensive Coordinator des Junior Varsity Teams. Auch für Österreich arbeitet Rinner als Coach. 2007 trainierte er die Linebacker im Junioren-Nationalteam und seit 2010 die Defensive Line. Callahan (28) spielte von 2011-2013 Quarterback bei den SWARCO RAIDERS, ehe er vergangene Saison am und neben dem Feld zu sehen war. Er coachte die Receiver und Quarterbacks und spielte selbst in der BIG6 European Football League. Auch dieses Jahr ist der Amerikaner für die BIG6, die AFL sowie die BATTLE4TIROL spielberechtigt. Von den 38 Begegnungen, bei denen Callahan für die Tiroler als Quarterback auf dem Rasen stand, gewannen sie 31 (81,6 Prozent). Von 2011-2013 war Callahan an 87 Touchdowns direkt beteiligt. Callahan führte das Team beim „Double“- Gewinn 2011 (Austrian Bowl und Eurobowl) an. Zudem erreichte die Mannschaft 2012 und 2013 drei weitere Endspiele. In seinen drei Jahren in Innsbruck brachte Callahan 397 von 623 Pässen für 5.979 Yards mit 58 Touchdowns und 17 Interceptions in allen AFL-Spielen (inkl. Playoffs) an. Er hatte zudem 196 Läufe für 907 Yards und 17 Touchdowns. In der European Football League (EFL) komplettierte er insgesamt 94 von 162 Pässen für 1.261 Yards mit 8 Touchdowns und 6 Interceptions. Er hatte 52 Läufe für 215 Yards und 3 Touchdowns. Vor seiner Zeit in Innsbruck spielte Callahan 2010 für die Berlin Adler in der German Football League und gewann seinerzeit den Eurobowl. 2009 stand er bei den Kiel Baltic Hurricanes (GFL) unter Vertrag. Bevor er nach Europa kam, spielte Callahan am Union College in Kentucky. Herron (34) ist seit 2011 Linebackers Coach der SWARCO RAIDERS Tirol. Er gewann gleich in seiner Debütsaison bei den Tirolern den Austrian Bowl und den Eurobowl. Herron begann seine Trainerlaufbahn 1999 bei den NFA Monarchs im Juniorenbereich. Nachdem er dort verschiedene Positionen bekleidete und auch im bayrischen All- Star-Team coachte, ging er 2005 zu den Königsbrunn Ants in die GFL2. Hier war er unter anderem Head Coach (2006-2007). Von 2008-2009 war Herron Defensive Coordinator und Linebackers Coach der Munich Cowboys (GFL). 2010 fungierte er als Defensive Coordinator und Linebackers Coach der Plattling Black Hawks (GFL). Bachelors of Business Administrations) The title of the thesis Pages American football players in Finland: The cultural differences 43 + 33 The goal for this research was to discover and analyze the cultural differences between Finnish and American cultures, more specifically between Finnish and American athletes playing American football in Finland. This was done by interviewing American athletes who have played American football in Finland as professional import players. The interview the writer held was a qualitative open-ended question interview and was conducted to five American athletes who have played American football in Finland. The framework for this thesis is earlier cross-cultural research about Finland and United States. The writer uses the cultural dimension theories by cross-cultural researchers Geert Hofstede and Fons Trompenaars to research about the ways in which the two research groups could be culturally different. Despite Finnish and American culture are perceived quite similar to each other in the theo- retical framework of this thesis, this thesis did find out there is distinctive differences be- tween Finnish and American culture according to the research interviews. The cultural dif- ferences are mostly in the cultural dimensions of power distance, individualism, masculin- ity, specificness and affectiveness of the researched Finnish and American cultures. This thesis explains what each of these cultural dimensions stand for, as well as explaining the theory of cultural dimensions in general. An important background difference between the two research groups is that the game of American football is played very differently in Finland and in United States.

    INTERNATIONAL NFL INTERNATIONAL FEEL While the NFL continues to grow in popularity across the globe, international players are making an increasing impact on the field. For the 14th time in the past 15 seasons, at least one player who attended high school outside of the United States was selected in the NFL Draft. This year, the Pittsburgh Steelers selected wide receiver CHASE CLAYPOOL (right) in the second round of the NFL Draft. The Canadian wide receiver recorded 150 receptions 2,159 receiving yards and 19 touchdowns during his career at Notre Dame. “When you get drafted to a team like the Steelers, it doesn’t seem real. It’s a super cool thought and idea of me playing for the Steelers,” said Claypool. “Each day it’s going to get more and more real.” In addition, the Dallas Cowboys selected NEVILLE GALLIMORE (below) in the third round of the NFL Draft. The Canadian defensive tackle was credited with 148 tackles, nine sacks, and five forced fumbles during his career at Oklahoma. “It’s one of those things where I didn’t know whether I was going to laugh, cry or scream,” Gallimore said. “It was definitely a surreal moment.
