    Die Meraner Waalrunde Dem kostbaren Nass entlang. Die tolle Rundwanderung auf zahlreichen sonnigen Waal- und Themenwegen ist ein Muss für gemütliche Wanderer. Die schöne Landschaft mit teils wunderbarer Aussicht wird besonders im Frühling und im Herbst zum Genuss. Die Meraner Waalrunde – Wegbeschreibung In der Umgebung von Meran und im unteren Vinschgau waren Spaziergänge entlang den "Waalen" stets beliebt. Diese "Waale" sind künstlich angelegte Kanäle, die zur Bewässerung der Obstwiesen dienen. Zur Instandhaltung und Pflege der Waale wurden daneben schmale Wege angelegt. Auf diesen "Waalwegen" führt die Meraner Waalrunde. Sie verläuft in zwei Schleifen, eine in der Meraner Umge- bung und die andere im unteren Vinschgau. Die Meraner Waalrunde besteht aus acht kurzen Teilstücken, die zusammen über 80 km lang und mit der Bezeichnung "Meraner Waalrunde" beschildert sind. Diese Runde verbindet elf Waalwege darunter den Schenner Waalweg, den Marlinger Waalweg und den Rablander Waalweg. Ausgangspunkt der Waalrunde ist die Töll. Von dort zieht sich die Waalrunde über dem Algunder- und Kuenser Waalweg nach Saltaus im Passeiertal. Dort geht es dem Maiser- und dem Schenner Waalweg entlang bis in die Naif und anschließend bergab nach Burgstall und Lana. Von dort führt die Waalrunde über dem Brandis-, Tschermser- und Marlinger Waalweg zurück zur Töll. Weiter verläuft die Waalrunde auf dem Partschinser- und Rablander Waalweg bis Naturns, wo das Vinschgau überquert wird und die Meraner Waalrunde über dem Rittersteig zurück zur Töll führt.
