Buckingham Palace
Buckingham Palace serves as both the office and London residence of Her Majesty, the Queen. It was first opened to visitors in 1993.

Houses of Parliament and Big Ben
The Houses of Parliament, or Palace of Westminster, has been the seat of British government for over 200 years. The Parliament Clock tower is one of London’s most iconic landmarks and houses Big Ben, the 14- tonne bell.
Trafalgar Square
Commemorating the Battle of Trafalgar, Trafalgar Square is the most famous public space in London; used for political gatherings and a centre for national celebration. Its famous 4th plinth is unoccupied; used in modern times for contemporary art installations.
Piccadilly Circus
Piccadilly Circus connects Regents Street, Piccadilly, Shaftesbury Avenue and the Haymarket. It is a very busy thoroughfare, right in the heart of theatre land and famous for the large electronic advertising signs that overlook the ‘circus’.
Changing of the Guard
The changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace involves a new guard exchanging duty with the old guard, accompanied by a Guards band. The Queen's Guard usually consists of Foot Guards in their famous uniform of red tunics and bearskins.
Tower Bridge
The Victorian Tower Bridge has become an iconic symbol of London, with its two Gothic towers and roadway which raises to allow passing ships through. From the bridge there are excellent views of the River Thames, HMS Belfast and the Tower of London.
Tower of London and Crown Jewels
The Tower of London has been standing guard over the city for nearly 1000 years. As a Royal Palace, fortress, prison, mint, place of torture and execution, and jewel house, it has witnessed many great events in British history.
City of London
The one square mile founded by the Romans some 2,000 years ago which is still the financial centre of the U.K. Highlights include the Bank of England, the Guildhall, home of the City of London Corporation and 30 St Mary Axe, aka the Gherkin.
