Annual Career Day has become an anticipated tradition in the College of Business Administration. We invite our established alumni and corporate partners to share their stories, teach us about their companies and the changes facing their industries. Once our students understand these changes they can determine how to make a positive impact in their fields of interest.

Keynote Address 8:45 AM Tricia Black ‘95 and Michael Anders ‘95 Edwards Auditorium

Tricia Black understands and leads change. As one of the initial employees at and first VP of sales, built Facebook’s early sales team, developed initial relationships with Fortune 500 brands, and helped brands navigate the changing landscape of advertising during the shift to social media. She is currently the co-founder and principal investor at Victress Capital, an early stage venture firm focused on investing in and supporting female led companies and gender diverse teams. Ms. Black earned her B.A. in Journalism from the University of Rhode Island. In addition to her role at Victress, Ms. Black serves on corporate and non-profit boards.

Michael Anders, founding partner at ICONIQ Capital, is a fellow change agent. He will be interviewing Ms. Black on the changes she has encountered and that she anticipates in the coming business cycle. ICONIQ Capita is a global /multi- based in and New York. Prior to his current role, he worked at , , Franklin Templeton, Fidelity Investments and Societe Generale (in Paris and London). He was a founder of GivingCapital, which developed turnkey charitable products for a number of large financial service firms, and then helped in the structuring of their high net worth client’s charitable giving. Mr. Anders received his B.A/B.S. in Political Science and Communication Studies from the University of Rhode Island, as well as a certificate in International Economics from Columbia University. He serves on the Board of the San Francisco Symphony, Full Circle Fund, The Global Poverty Project/Global Citizen, The World Surf League (WSL) and P.U.R.E., WSL’s philanthropic arm which focuses on ocean research and conservation.
