Leadership Awards

Each year HOBY holds annual Albert Schweitzer Leadership Awards Dinners in New York and Los Angeles. The awards presented recognize leadership in many diverse areas of human endeavor.

HOBY’s Albert Schweitzer Leadership Award is presented to individuals who have distinguished them- selves through service to mankind and who have contributed significantly through their leadership to the education and motivation of youth.

HOBY’s Corporate Citizen Award publicly congratulates the executive officer of a company that has demonstrated outstanding leadership commitment by motivating others to take leadership roles in phi- lanthropy and community involvement.

HOBY’s International Inspiration Award honors individuals who have profoundly inspired others by their character, their values and their actions. Their achievements have equaled their ambitions, and they in- spire us to do no less.

HOBY’s Alumni Achievement Award recognizes an outstanding HOBY Alumnus who has distinguished him or herself as a leader in professional, social and philanthropic endeavors, and has carried that leader- ship with dignity and respect.

HOBY's Leadership in Entertainment Award honors the artistic merits of the entertainment community in the areas of music, television, motion pictures, and theatre and the talented performers that positively im- pact society through their work. These companies and individuals have inspired and motivated others by the values they promote.

HOBY's Leadership in Media Award salutes the untiring efforts of writers, producers production compa- nies and individual media performers who have created a ground-breaking body of work that is con- sistently motivating, inspirational and a powerful tool in bringing social awareness and positive change to our nation and local communities.

HOBY’s Volunteer of the Year Award recognizes an outstanding individual who has made a significant difference in continuing and expanding HOBY’s leadership development programs at the local, state and national level. The selection is made from the individual’s peers, which consist of 5,200 HOBY vol- unteers nationwide.
