The purpose of the shelter is to receive pet animals (dogs and cats). In accordance with the Decree on the Establishment of the Public Institution the Zoo (No.: 615- 13/ 03- 9, of 5 May 2003) the City of Ljubljana appointed the Public Institution the Zoo as the holder of the Shelter. 1.2. AUTHORITIES IN THE SHELTER FOR ABANDONED ANIMALS: Animal shelter board: constituted on March 1, 2007, Resolution No. 032-229/06-4: President: Barbara Mihelič (representative of the holder of the shelter) Members: Representatives of the local community: Jože Vidic, DVM, Miro Oberstar (Department of Pre-School Education and Sport, City Administration MOL) Representative of the Veterinary Administration of the Republic of Slovenia (VARS): Barbka Tomše (representative of VARS), , Representative of the Society for the Protection of Animals: Nataša Lokar (representative of the Society for the protection of Animals). Manager of the Animal Shelter: Marko Oman, DVM The shelter has a Manager and a Board of the shelter. The Manager of the animal shelter manages shelter activities, controls that the veterinary and sanitary regulations are respected, inserts volunteers in the working process and is responsible for keeping records. The Board of the shelter monitors the work of the shelter, decides on the amount of contributions and approves the pricelist of the shelter. It is also responsible for the promotion and acquisition of resources from sponsorships. The Board of the shelter has to consist of a representative of the local community, a representative of VARS, a representative of the Society for the Protection of Animals and a representative of the holder of the shelter. ANIMAL SHELTER ACTIVITIES: The animal shelter performs the following: - receives notifications about abandoned animals; - ensures necessary veterinary help and care for the abandoned animals; - offers catching, transportation, accommodation and care for the abandoned animals inside the shelter; - looks for the adopters of these animals or organizes rehoming of animals; - keeps all the necessary documentation and registers updated, as well as regularly submits reports to competent institutions; For the abandoned animals’ needs the shelter performs the following activities of the public veterinary service: - monitoring the health conditions of abandoned animals; - veterinary visits for abandoned animals; - marking abandoned animals and keeping registers according to the regulations; - basic laboratory diagnostics for discovering contagious diseases in abandoned animals; - implementing actions for preventing, discovering, curing and controlling animal diseases and injuries, as well as performing surgical operations on animals; - preventing the pollution of the environment with the agents and vectors of contagious diseases in animals; - implements actions connected to the hygienisation of sewage sludge - and guarantees the protection of abandoned animals residing in shelters and prevention of cruelty. In the performance of its tasks the shelter cooperates with the competent public service authorities, animal protection organizations and the interested public, and for the veterinary emergencies also with a contractual veterinary organization. Besides the above mentioned activities the shelter also performs the activity of educating children, youth and adult citizens, as well as it cooperates with educational organizations (schools, help and rehabilitation institutions). The shelter cooperates with other shelters in Slovenia and with cynological associations. In cooperation with them the shelter prepares professional lectures on the correct treatment of animals in shelters, their socialization and their habituation to the new home. It also organizes professional training for adopters, volunteer dog walkers and other volunteers, shelter employees and other interested public. 1.4. Štefan Bojnec POVZETEK V magistrski nalogi je kompleksno obdelano področje upravljanje nepremičnin, ki zahteva od ponudnikov na trgu vse bolj poglobljena in široka znanja tako tehničnih kot ekonomskih ved. V prvem delu magistrske naloge je obdelan pristop k celovitemu vzdrževanju večstanovanjskih stavb. V drugem, raziskovalnem delu pa je izvedena analiza kakovosti izvajanja vzdrževanja večstanovanjskih stavb glede na velikost podjetja ter analiziran celoten trg upravljanja nepremičnin, predvsem v povezavi med ceno storitve s koncentracijo nepremičnin in številom podjetij na posameznih območjih delovanja. Rezultati raziskave kažejo, da se upravniki nepremičnin zavedajo uvajanja preventivnega vzdrževanja in zagotavljanja kakovosti storitev ter da je koncentracija upravnikov nepremičnin na območju delovanja odvisna predvsem števila nepremičnin, cena njihovih storitev pa ni nujno odvisna od števila upravnikov na področju delovanja. Podana so tudi priporočila za nadaljnji razvoj in nove možnosti za uspešno delovanje. Ključne besede: nepremičnine, upravljanje, vzdrževanje, večstanovanjske stavbe, etažna lastnina, storitve, kakovost, dodana vrednost. SUMMARY In the master’s thesis the area of real estate management was complexly processed. From the providers on the market it demands ever more extensive knowledge both on technical and economic fields. In the first part of the thesis we investigated the overall maintenance of the apartment buildings. In the second – research – part the analysis was carried out on the quality of the maintenance implementation at the apartment buildings in respect to the providers’ size.

    SCOPOLIA No 95: 1–161 (2019) Katalog sesalcev v zbirki Prirodoslovnega muzeja Slovenije II Red: Carnivora; podred: Feliformia Catalogue of the mammals in the collection of the Slovenian Museum of Natural History II Order: Carnivora; suborder: Feliformia Mojca JERNEJC KODRIČ1, Boris KRYŠTUFEK1 Izvleček V tej objavi je podan pregled muzejskih primerkov podreda Feliformia (mačkam podobne zveri). V zbirki Prirodoslovnega muzeja Slovenije hranimo 88 primerkov, ki pripadajo 18 vrstam v 14 rodovih in 4 družinah. Velika večina primerkov je iz družine mačk Felidae (75 %). Material izvira iz 11 držav v treh biogeografskih območjih: palearktičnem (72,7 % primerkov), etiopskem (9,1 %) in orientalnem (4,6 %). Nadaljnjih 13,6 % materiala je brez podatkov o izvoru ali pa izvira iz ujetništva. Primerki so bili zbrani na 39 nahajališčih v Sloveniji in 21 nahajališčih v tujini; seštevek je 60 naha- jališč. Polovica primerkov je iz Slovenije. Primerki so večinoma ohranjeni kot lobanje (77,3 %). Kože so ohranjene od 26,1 % muzejskih primerkov, od 5,7 % primerkov pa se je ohranilo tudi okostje. Nadaljnjih 18,2 % primerkov so dermoplastični preparati; ti vključujejo zgodovinske primerke, ki so pogosto pomanjkljivo dokumentirani. Mokrih primerkov navedenega podreda v zbirki ni. Ključne besede: muzejske zoološke zbirke, mačke, cibetovke, ihneumoni, hijene, lobanja, dermoplastika Abstract In this paper we list and comment on museum vouchers from the mammalian suborder Feliformia (cat-like carnivorans). The Slovenian Museum of Natural History holds 88 specimens of 18 species in 14 genera and 4 families. The great majority of specimens are cats (family Felidae; 75%). The material originates from 11 countries in three biogeographical regions: the Palaearctic (72.7% of vouchers), Ethiopian (9.1%), and Oriental (4.6%).

In 2015, the Municipality od Ljubljana draft ed a new ordinance in order to conserve numerous natural values, extraordinary biodiversity, and landscape diversity of the area. The landscape park is known for its two seemingly separate parts –Tivoli Park and forest.
