In late November 2016, the Holocaust Memorial Museum of San Antonio (HMMSA) applied for a grant from the Texas Holocaust and Genocide Commission and received funding for Geography of the Holocaust. Through this grant, the museum will replace the current map in the Museum with an interactive whiteboard that will have several animated maps. These maps may be used by the docents during tours and visitors on self guided tours. In addition, HMMSA is presently creating biographical sketches of San Antonio survivors that will be incorporated into lessons using the animated maps.
