Dear ,

This letter is to inform you, as president of the Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity chapter at Louisiana State University, that the University has ordered an Interim Suspension of Activities of all chapter events as a result of concerns regarding potential violations of the LSU Code of Student Conduct. The chapter is now under an investigation regarding potential violations of the LSU Code of Student Conduct.

Because of recent events and the suspension of chapter activities directed by Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity on October 19, 2020, LSU hereby places the Louisiana Alpha chapter of Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity under an Interim Suspension of Activities. The University’s ability to implement Interim Suspension of Activities is outlined in 11.C of the LSU Code of Student Conduct.

While under the Interim Suspension, the University directs as follows: - Newly initiated members and active members may not have any contact with each other, whether direct, virtual, or through third parties. This includes, but is not limited to, electronic correspondence, verbal communication, or contact through mutual acquaintances. Any verbal or non-verbal contact outside of the above mentioned parameters could be a violation of the Louisiana State University Code of Student Conduct. - The chapter may not host or participate in any social activities, this includes exchanges, socials, or parties, on or off campus. - The chapter may not participate in any intramural activities. - The chapter may not conduct any meetings, whether on or off campus, unless directed by the University to assist in the investigation. - Newly initiated members on the chapter’s meal plan may not congregate at the chapter house and may only pick up meals to go until the investigation is complete.
