With the addition of state of the art social areas, bright review rooms and purpose built equipment storage, it’s an ideal place to return to after a day of adventure.

Aberdovey’s location is perfect for heading into the hills or getting out on the water. The centre is located on the stunning Dyfi estuary – a UNESCO world biosphere reserve in North , yet is only a short drive from the mountains of Snowdonia.

Groups at Aberdovey also have access to a brand new wilderness VIEW OF THE CENTRE FROM DYFI ESTUARY log cabin, perfect for when the weather doesn’t allow staying under canvas. You’ll also benefit romf a private waterfront activity and jetty facilities.

ACCOMMODATION Sleeps 184 in bunk rooms of 4-6. Rooms are functional but comfortable and many have en-suite facilities.

DINING Aberdovey’s dining room comes complete with expansive sea views. You’ll be served freshly prepared food with plenty of variety on offer. Our catering team can also meet any dietary requirements, provided you let us know in advance.

OTHER FACILITIES Group leaders enjoy separate accommodation in twin rooms, some with en-suite facilities. Participants also have access to a small shop, telephones, games room and vending machines. GETTING TO THE CENTRE

From the North From the M6 junction 20A, take the M56 West and follow the signs to the M53, which then becomes the A55 towards Chester. From the A55 take the A483 past , turn right onto the A5 towards and then onto . Two miles after Corwen, turn left onto the A494 towards Bala and then onto . At Dolgellau turn left onto the A470 and after three miles turn right onto the A487 towards . After 14 miles turn right onto the A493 to Aberdovey. Follow ‘From Machynlleth’ as below. MODERN SOCIAL SPACES From the South East and Midlands Take the M54, which becomes the A5, heading towards . Leave the A5 to the west of Shrewsbury on the A458 towards and then onto Dolgellau. Once you reach a roundabout in , (the Brigands Inn will be on your left), turn left onto the A470 towards Machynlleth. Follow the A470 for 6 miles, at a roundabout in turn right onto the A489 towards Machynlleth. Follow ‘From Machynlleth’ as below.

From the South West From the M4 junction 24, follow the A449 and then the A40 towards Abergavenny and onto . 1.5 miles past Crickhowell turn right onto the A479 towards and follow signs to . On approaching Builth Wells, remain on the A470 and follow signs to , then onto , then and finally Machynlleth. At the roundabout in , turn left onto the A489 towards Machynlleth. Follow ‘From BEACH-SIDE LOCATION Machynlleth’ as below.

From Machynlleth On approaching the clock tower in Machynlleth turn right towards Aberdovey. After half a mile turn left, (immediately after crossing river bridge), onto the A493. Follow the A493 for 9 miles. The entrance to the centre is on the right. Please note, the entrance is difficult to negotiate and large vehicles should only attempt to arrive from or depart towards Machynlleth.

By rail Aberdovey has its own rail station, approximately five minutes away.
