Agreementbetween the European Community and the Swiss Confederation on tradein agricultural products THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITY,hereinafter referred to as the "Community",and THE SWISS CONFEDERATION,hereinafter referred to as "Switzerland",together referred to hereinafter as "the Parties", RESOLVED gradually to eliminate the barriers affecting the bulk oftheir trade in accordance with the provisions on the establishmentof free-trade areas in the Agreement establishing the World Trade Organisation, Whereas, in Article 15 of the Free Trade Agreement of 22 July 1972,the Parties declared their readiness to foster, so far as theiragricultural policies allow, the harmonious development of trade inagricultural products to which that Agreement does not apply, HAVE AGREED AS FOLLOWS: Article 1 Objective1. The objective of this Agreement shall be to strengthen thefree- trade relations between the Parties by improving the access ofeach to the market in agricultural products of the other. pd4ml evaluation copy. visit http://pd4ml.com 2. "Agricultural products" means the products listed in Chapters 1to 24 of the International Convention on the Harmonised Commodity Description and Coding System. For the purposes of applying Annexes1, 2 and 3 to this Agreement, the products falling under Chapter 3and headings 16.04 and 16.05 of the Harmonised System and theproducts covered by CN codes 0511 91 10, 0511 91 90, 1902 20 10 and2301 20 00 shall be excluded. 3. This Agreement shall not apply to the subjects covered by Protocol 2 to the Free Trade Agreement, with the exception of therelevant concessions granted in Annexes 1 and 2 hereto. Article 2 Tariff concessions1. Without prejudice to the concessions set out in Annex 3, thetariff concessions granted by Switzerland to the Community shall beas listed in Annex 1 hereto. 2. Without prejudice to the concessions set out in Annex 3, thetariff concessions granted by the Community to Switzerland shall beas listed in Annex 2 hereto. Article 3 Concessions regarding cheese The specific provisions applicable to trade in cheeses shall be asset out in Annex 3 hereto. Article 4 Rules on origin The rules on origin mutually applicable under Annexes 1, 2 and 3 tothis Agreement shall be as set out in Protocol 3 to the Free Trade Agreement. Article 5 Removing technical barriers to trade1. The way technical obstacles to trade in agricultural products areto be reduced in the various fields shall be as set out in the pd4ml evaluation copy. visit http://pd4ml.com Annexes hereto as follows: - Annex 4 on plant health, - Annex 5 on animal feed, - Annex 6 on seeds, - Annex 7 on trade in wine-sector products, - Annex 8 on the mutual recognition and protection of names ofspirit drinks and aromatised wine-based drinks, - Annex 9 on organically produced agricultural products andfoodstuffs, - Annex 10 on recognition of conformity checks for fruit andvegetables subject to marketing standards, - Annex 11 on animal health and zootechnical measures applicable totrade in live animals and animal products. 2. Article 1(2) and (3) and Articles 6, 7, 8, and 10 to 13 of this Agreement shall not apply to Annex 11. Article 6 Joint Committee on Agriculture1. A Joint Committee (hereinafter referred to as "the Committee") made up of representatives of the Parties shall be set up. 2. The Committee shall be responsible for the administration of this Agreement and shall ensure its good functioning. 3. The Committee shall be empowered to adopt decisions as providedfor in this Agreement and the Annexes hereto. Such decisions shallbe implemented by the Parties in accordance with their own rules. 4. The Committee shall establish its own Rules of Procedure. 5. The Committee shall act by mutual agreement. 6. To ensure the proper implementation of this Agreement, the pd4ml evaluation copy. visit http://pd4ml.com Parties shall hold consultations within the Committee at the requestof either Party. 7. The Committee shall set up the working groups needed toadminister the Annexes to this Agreement. Its Rules of Procedureshall specify, in particular, the membership of such working groupsand the way they are to operate. Article 7 Settlement of disputes Either Party may bring a matter under dispute which concerns theinterpretation or application of this Agreement to the Committee. The latter shall endeavour to settle the dispute. Any informationwhich might be of use in making possible an in-depth examination ofthe situation with a view to finding an acceptable solution shall besupplied to the Committee. To this end, the Committee shall examineall possibilities to maintain the good functioning of this Agreement. Article 8 Exchange of information1. The Parties shall exchange all relevant information regarding theimplementation and application of this Agreement. 2. Each Party shall inform the other of any changes it intends tomake to laws, regulations and administrative provisions within thescope of this Agreement and shall notify the other Party of any newprovisions as soon as possible. Article 9 Confidentiality Representatives, experts and other agents of the Parties shall berequired, even after their duties have ceased, not to discloseinformation, obtained in the framework of this Agreement, which iscovered by the obligation of professional secrecy. Article 10 Safeguard measures1. Where, in connection with the application of Annexes 1, 2 and 3to this Agreement and having regard to the special sensitivity ofthe agricultural markets of the Parties, imports of productsoriginating in one pd4ml evaluation copy. visit http://pd4ml.com Party cause or threaten to cause a seriousdisturbance on the markets of the other, the Parties shallimmediately hold consultations to seek a suitable solution. Pendingsuch a solution, the Party concerned may take any measures it deemsnecessary. 2. Where safeguard measures as provided for in paragraph 1 or in theother Annexes hereto are taken: (a) the following procedures shall apply in the absence of specificprovisions: - where either Party intends to implement safeguard measures withrespect to part or all of the territory of the other, it shallinform the latter in advance, stating its reasons, - where either Party takes safeguard measures in respect of part orall of its own territory or that of a third country, it shall informthe other as soon as possible, - without prejudice to the possibility of putting the plannedmeasures into force immediately, consultations shall be held betweenthe two Parties as soon as possible with a view to finding suitablesolutions, - where safeguard measures are taken by a Member State of the Community with respect to Switzerland, another Member State or athird country, the Community shall duly inform Switzerland as soonas possible; (b) measures which least disrupt the way this Agreement operatesmust be given priority. Article 11 Amendments The Committee may decide to amend Annexes 1 and 2 and the Appendicesto the other Annexes hereto. Article 12 Review1. Where either Party seeks a review of this Agreement, it shallsubmit a reasoned request to the other. 2. The Parties may entrust the Committee with the task ofconsidering any such request and, where appropriate, of puttingforward recommendations,

    Bruzella, Cabbio, Caneggio, Morbio Superiore, Muggio, Sagno, ddii Scudellate quadrimestrale: quadrimestrale: ottobre 2013-gennaio 2014 PELLEGRINAGGIO in POLONIA Nei giorni dal 24 giugno al 4 luglio si è svolto il Pellegrinaggio in Polo- nia. Vi hanno partecipato 45 persone. Questa volta ci siamo reca con il pullman per dare l’occasione anche a quelli “che non volano”. Ovviamente questo ha richiesto più tempo (11 giorni) e sforzo, ma ci ha permesso di visitare, strada facendo, pure le belle ci à (Praga, Vienna). Il primo giorno (24.06) era des nato soltanto alla trasferta a Praga. Il secondo giorno (25.06) era dedicato alla visita della ci à di Praga. Con l’aiuto di una guida locale abbiamo visitato il Hradcany, (con la Ca edrale, il Castello e la Via d’Oro) il Ponte Carlo, le principali vie e piazze della Ci à Vecchia (Piazza del Municipio). Dopo il pranzo, in uno dei ristoran della zona, abbiamo proseguito ancora la nostra visita guidata in centro ci à per concluderla alla famosa Piazza di S. Venceslao, dopo di che avevamo il tempo libero che ognuno poteva trascorrere come voleva (acquis , visite, riposo). Il giorno dopo (mercoledì, 26.06) in ma nata abbiamo lasciato Praga per spostarci in Polonia. Dopo il pranzo (già in territorio polacco) abbia- mo proseguito il nostro viaggio verso la ci à di Czestochowa, nota per 2 il famoso Santuario mariano con l’effi ge della Madonna Nera. Avevamo la fortuna e il privilegio di celebrare la “nostra” Santa Messa proprio davan a questa. Ovviamente, abbiamo visitato altre cose del luogo.

    Traduction1 0.818.694.54 Accord entre le gouvernement suisse et le gouvernement italien concernant la translation de corps à travers la frontière dans les régions limitrophes Conclu les 11 avril/1er mai 1951 Entré en vigueur le 1er juillet 1951 Entre la légation de Suisse à Rome et le ministère italien des affaires étrangères a eu lieu en date des 11 avril/14 mai 1951 un échange de notes relatif à la translation de corps à travers la frontière dans les régions limitrophes. La note suisse – en traduc- tion française – a la teneur suivante: 1. L’arrangement international concernant le transport des corps conclu à Ber- lin le 10 février 19372 auquel ont adhéré soit l’Italie et la Suisse, prévoit à l’article 10 que ses dispositions ne s’appliquent pas au transport de corps s’effectuant dans les régions frontalières. Les deux gouvernements décident d’adopter à cet égard la procédure suivante. 2. Le trafic local dans les régions frontalières comprend en l’espèce une zone située des deux côtés de la frontière italo-suisse dans un rayon d’environ 10 km; la procédure relative au transport des corps dans les limites de cette zone s’applique aux localités indiquées dans les listes ci-jointes. 3. Les laissez-passer pour cadavres sont délivrés, du côte suisse, par les autori- tés cantonales et, du côté italien, par les autorités provinciales. En Suisse, le autorités compétentes sont, dans le canton des Grisons, les commissariats de district, dans le canton du Tessin, les autorités communa- les, et dans le canton du Valais, la police cantonale.

En la actualidad, la preocupación del viticultor se centra en diferentes plagas y enferme- dades: polilla, ácaros, mildiu, oidio, botrytis.., todas ellas importantes, pero de efectos generalmente limitados, puesto que la maquinaria para tratamientos, los numerosos pro- ductos fitosanitarios a disposición del viticultor, el seguimiento continuo por los Servicios ofi- ciales a través de los Boletines de Avisos periódicos, etc, hacen que el problema se reduzca fi- nalmente a coste de cultivo. Preocupará más o menos mantener sano el viñedo pero, a fin de cuentas, hoy prácticamente ninguna viña perece por las actuales plagas o enfermedades. La aparición de la filoxera en La Rioja en 1899, por el contrario, fue una catástrofe total para los viticultores de entonces. Como ocurrió en toda Europa, el insecto produjo la destrucción absoluta del viñedo. La velocidad de transmisión dependía del terreno y de la climatología; en La Rioja fue muy rápida. El impacto fue tan grande que el cultivo de la vid lo podemos dividir en: antes y des- pués de la filoxera.
