Our Aims and Purpose:

About the Service:

The service is based in Leverington near Wisbech, Cambridgeshire. We have 6 self-contained flats within the building, each flat has its own bathroom, kitchenette, bedroom and living room. (All part furnished)

The building also offers two communal spaces, a large lounge where tenants can get together.

There is a fully functioning kitchen where tenants will be supported to learn new daily living skills. This kitchen can also be used if the tenants want to ‘have a get together’ rather than using their own kitchenette. It has a large communal garden where they have plans to make a sensory area and there are plans for a vegetable patch where the tenants will be supported to grow their own produce.

There is an office for both staff and tenants to use. The staff have their own room and stay overnight in the house.

Property Arrangements:

All tenants will be issued with an assured short hold tenancy which offers security of tenure to the individuals. The Housing management of the property is undertaken by Golden Lane Housing who are a registered provider of social housing who work predominantly with people with learning disabilities. This arrangement ensures a clear division between the responsibilities of the support provider and the landlord.
