Mr. Nuno Cardoso, Mayor of Porto described Porto as a liberal city with a dynamic television scene. He also stated that regional television has an important role in the future of the audio- visual industry. -

This debility has greatly hindered the progress of European consolidation and convergence, which to the present day has been manifested mainly through economic and policy agreements. The European Union has achieved many goals during the last 25 years, including the implementation of a common currency that has led to a real economic union between member states and the transfer of various national competences to European institutions. However, the construction of a real European civil society has proved to be a greater challenge; Europeans still cling to their individual national, regional and local identities and have not developed a greater sense of European citizenship. The Euranet Project—an initiative to create a pan-European radio network—began in December 2007 as a joint proposal put forth by 13 national and regional radio stations operating in 12 European countries. Its stated mission when it went on air on April 1, 2008 was to broadcast European news from a transnational perspective to local communities within the European Union. -

Poslovnika Hrvatskoga sabora (Narodne novine, br. 81/13, 113/16 i 69/17), Vlada Republike Hrvatske o Izvješću o poslovanju Hrvatske radiotelevizije za 2015. godinu, daje sljedeće M I Š L J E N J E Vlada Republike Hrvatske predlaže Hrvatskome saboru da primi na znanje Izvješće o poslovanju Hrvatske radiotelevizije za 2015. godinu, koje je predsjedniku Hrvatskoga sabora podnio Glavni ravnatelj Hrvatske radiotelevizije, aktom od 21. prosinca 2016. godine. Izvješće o poslovanju Hrvatske radiotelevizije za 2015. godinu sadrži prikaz ostvarenja programa rada i financijskog plana Hrvatske radiotelevizije. Imajući u vidu protek vremena, predlaže se primanje navedenog Izvješća na znanje. A Comparative Analysis of Media Freedom and Pluralism in the EU Member States
DIRECTORATE GENERAL FOR INTERNAL POLICIES POLICY DEPARTMENT C: CITIZENS' RIGHTS AND CONSTITUTIONAL AFFAIRS CIVIL LIBERTIES, JUSTICE AND HOME AFFAIRS A comparative analysis of media freedom and pluralism in the EU Member States STUDY Abstract This study was commissioned by the European Parliament's Policy Department for Citizens' Rights and Constitutional Affairs at the request of the LIBE Committee. The authors argue that democratic processes in several EU countries are suffering from systemic failure, with the result that the basic conditions of media pluralism are not present, and, at the same time, that the distortion in media pluralism is hampering the proper functioning of democracy. The study offers a new approach to strengthening media freedom and pluralism, bearing in mind the different political and social systems of the Member States. The authors propose concrete, enforceable and systematic actions to correct the deficiencies found. THE CENTRAL ELECTION COMMISSION with its seat in Sofia, 1, Knyaz Aleksander R. square, chaired by Kamelia Neykova and COUNCIL FOR ELECTRONIC MEDIA with headquarters in Sofia, 69 Shipchenski Prohod Blvd. chaired by Betina Joteva.: • guided by European principles and recommendations for coverage of information campaigns in the media and the European experience of election monitoring; • emphasize the importance of responsible, objective, accurate and honest media behaviour, respect for the good morals and human dignity of candidates: • recognize the need to create the most favourable media environment in connection with the elections to the National Assembly on 11 July 2021 and the preceding campaign • bear in mind the constitutional right of every citizen to seek, receive and impart information, conclude this Agreement on the grounds of Article 57. paragraph 1, item 24 of the Electoral Code in conjunction with Article. 32. paragraph 1, item 22 of the Radio and Television Act. Article 1. (1) The Agreement defines the principles and parameters of the Specialized Monitoring, which the Council for Electronic Media will carry out during the election campaign for holding elections for National Assembly. (2) The agreement shall be based on the provisions of the Radio and Television Act. The rules for conducting the election campaign - Chapter Twelve of the Electoral Code, the recommendations of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) for monitoring the behaviour of electronic media in the context of elections, the European experience. as well as the practices of the Council for Electronic Media, applied in monitoring other election campaigns. -
