I joined Hiranandani Hospital, Vashi - A Fortis Network Hospital in December 2011 as a staff Nurse in OT and presently, I am working as an Infection Control Nurse.

What do you like the most about your work? The team spirit of my fellow team members! Whatever obstacles come in the way, the entire team comes together to surmount it. In fact, every hurdle strengthens the team and inspires the team to forge ahead with greater zeal.

How has your experience at Fortis been? Fortis provides a career path for employees and puts in a lot of effort to groom and mould people. I had to leave the job for a year. When I was ready to return to my job, I could not think of any other organisation but Fortis and I re-joined in July 2014. My reasons for joining back included the friendly working environment, Fortis Values and culture.

Firstly, I just want to say thank you for all your help.

The service we received was very good. From the day we arrived, the speed in which your team started working on Dad and to the day we left India was very professional.

What was mentioned on the package was indeed what we received. Dr Ramji was always there to offer support and insight into the operation. He was always available on request even when Tatenda arrived later after the operation. Also, to get the best cardiac surgeon was comforting as my dad was in safe hands.

The ICU staff performed their work beyond expectation. They were always there watching over him every minute which was impressive. The international relations office was very supportive. Special mention to Ritu and the international relations manager (sorry i cannot spell his name) who went beyond their mandate.

The security staff at the hospital were our little angels as each time we left Dad's bed they would ask where we were going, "have you had anything to eat, have you slept". This was very humbling. Special mention to the security guy at the hospital entrance who offered his help when we needed to direct a taxi to the hospital.

Thank you for the help and support you have shown us from the beginning to the end. There were days when we did not know what to do or what to think but your just being there made every situation better. Being in a foreign country and not knowing anyone can be hard on an individual but you have shown us that having just one friend can make a difference. Ritu Thank you.

Dad is recovering well. He is resting most of the time but he is getting better with each day. You are angels sent from above May the Almighty continue to bless you beyond limits.
