The Colorado Classic returns to your living room Altitude Sports to air 2019 Colorado Classic replays throughout the month of July

Denver, CO (July 1 , 2020) — Do you miss bike racing? Can’t wait for the action to start up again? Neither can we! Fortunately, you won’t have to wait until August. The Colorado Classic is excited to announce that Altitude Sports, which has distributed live coverage and replays since ® the race began in 2017, will re-air the 2019 Colorado Classic presented by VF Corporation throughout the month of July.

In 2019, the Colorado Classic made its debut as a UCI 2.1 women’s-only event and it was a resounding success. In terms of team support, media attention, free live TV coverage and quality race courses, there was no race like the Colorado Classic, and the riders gave us a thrilling show in return.

Nearly 100 of the world’s top cyclists from 20 countries traveled to Colorado for the four-day event, which visited the host communities of Steamboat Springs, Avon, Golden and Denver.

With fierce competition, premium race courses and one of the most lucrative prize purses in the sport up for grabs, there was never a dull moment throughout the four days of racing. Jersey competitions, intermediate time bonuses, cash primes and overall standing were all hotly contested, while 22-year-old track star Chloe Dygert stole the show.

The10-time world champion and Olympic medalist gave an absolutely dominating performance even when the roads turned up and air got thin. At the 2019 Colorado Classic we witnessed the rise of a phenom and an incredible winning streak which eventually led to rainbow glory at the 2019 UCI Road Cycling World Championship, and could very well continue at the 2020 Colorado Classic and the Tokyo Olympic Games in 2021.
