Since its Wild West beginnings, Denver has attracted people from a variety of cultures.

The rich ethnic history and diverse cultural heritage of the city are celebrated with several events throughout the year, from the nation's largest Cinco de Mayo celebration in the spring to the Longs Peak Scottish Irish Festival in the fall. The historically rich African American Five Points neighborhood is home to the Black American West Museum while the Museo de las Americas hosts some of the world's top contemporary artists from Latin America.

Denver is packed with festivals, special exhibitions, concerts, and outdoor adventures. Cheer on the at , watch a spectacular sunset from City Park or listen to a concert under the stars at Red Rocks. And for those who enjoy a good bike ride, you can explore Denver’s 85 miles of paved, off-street bike trails.

For those who enjoy the outdoors, Denver’s Mountain Park system is unique, comprised of 14,000 acres of scenic beauty in the nearby Rockies. Gaze at a buffalo herd, mountain bike at Winter Park Resort, hike trails amidst red sandstone monoliths at Red Rocks Park – they’re all part of the city of Denver.

For the foodie, Denver is home to several gourmet markets! Check out Avanti F&B, a former print shop turned upscale food hall; Central Market, which features 11 vendors and common seating; The Source, an artisan market located in a former ironworks foundry; and Stanley Marketplace, a community hub created out of a former aviation manufacturing facility. For a taste of the Old West, try some buffalo, a Denver specialty made into steaks, burgers, and hot dogs.

Enjoy a good game? Denver is Sports Town, U.S.A., with an astonishing seven professional sports teams and six sports stadiums. The Vice President of Aviation and Government Services reports to the Head of Operations and is responsible for providing leadership and strategic direction to management staff and assigned personnel. Provides a clear vision and direction in growing the Aviation and Government Services section of HSS to include an increase in contracts and personnel. Develops methods and means to build and strengthen name recognition for HSS in the industry. Provides industry subject matter expertise in day-to-day operations and maintains strong working relationships will all stakeholders and customers. In addition, is responsible for the effective management of personnel in their job-related duties and professional growth. Develops cohesive teams and supports a strong culture of teamwork and customer service.

Additional essential duties include directing departmental leadership staff to ensure standards are being met, oversight of contract compliance, negotiating new and existing contract details, meeting with stakeholders, leading the preparation and oversight of departmental budgets and providing sound and effective management oversight.

page 6 Position Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in a related field to the area of assignment and ten (10) years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above. Airport experience and five (5) years supervising personnel is required.

Salary & Compensation

The salary range for this position is $140,000 - $170,000 and is accompanied by an attractive benefits package. Salary is commensurate with experience.

The successful candidate will commence employment mid to late May, or early June of this year.
