Shandong University is a key comprehensive university under the Ministry of Education, which has a long history, complete academic disciplines and strong academic strength. It is one of the high- level universities under the support of national “211 Project” and “985 Project”. It has been selected in the “Double First-Class” Initiative in 2017. At present, 16 disciplines including mathematics, chemistry, physics, materials sciences and medicine have entered top 1% of ESI’s world ranking according to their academic influence and contributions.
Shandong University attaches great importance to international exchanges and cooperation, and have established over 170 university-level partnerships in more than 30 countries. In order to further promote the internationalization of the university and enhance the international exchanges, Shandong University continues to organize international summer school on various topics on humanities and social sciences, sciences, engineering and medicine, Chinese language training as well as China Studies.
The 2019 international summer school will be mainly held in July and August, ranging for one to eight weeks, on China studies, chemistry and transportation, etc. More details can be found from the program list below. We warmly welcome students from all over the world to join us for summer school!
Besides the list of sixteen summer schools, we also organize Summer Lectures Program for the first time in 2019. This program is designed to bring together excellent scholars from all over the world to give short courses and individual lectures to Shandong University students at undergraduate level. Although the main audience are SDU students, you are also most welcome to attend and are able to pick anyone that suits your interests during your period of study here.
