Consider their expertise in these areas, if you plan implementation of such solutions in the coming years. 6. Plan for the future Select an ERP solution that will “grow” with your company. Consider not only the modules and functional- ity that are needed now, but also those that may be needed in six months or a year’s time, according to your plans for business development. To enable the cyclists to cover this huge distance in such a short time period the team had to use a precisely planned strategy and carefully calculated time schedule. Th e whole RARU team was split into 5 specially equipped Land Rover Discovery 4s: two race cars including the cyclists; management car; sup- port car with the masseur, mechanic and cook; and the media car. Th e actual switch between the two race teams was extremely diffi cult and a logistical highlight. (See the diagram for a graphic illustration.) Energy Effi ciency Label Launch Event On 18 September, the AEB and the European Bank for Recon- struction and Development (EBRD) held a joint event to launch “Energy Effi ciency Labelling: Stimulating investment in energy effi cient equipment in Russia”. Th e AEB and the EBRD signed a Memorandum of Under- standing on establishing voluntary energy effi ciency endorsement labelling in Russia. Th e labels will help stimulate investment in energy effi cient equipment, reduce energy use, improve the qual- ity of goods and help modernize manufacturing processes. Briefi ng by Boris Titov, Presidential Round Table: “Opportunities and Commissioner for Entrepreneurs’ Rights Challenges in International Logistics Protection in the Russian Federation” On 2 October 2013, Boris Titov, Presidential Commis- sioner for Entrepreneurs’ Rights Protection, briefed AEB members. Th e issues raised included the investment climate in Russia, and achievements and prospects in the fi eld of entrepreneurs’ rights protection. Boris Titov also answered numerous questions about the current Russian investment climate and addressed important issues like changes in the TIR Carnet use for customs transit in Russia, parallel import liberalization, and restrictions on secondment usage. Th e event was also attended by media representatives.

The AEB South Regional Committee celebrates 10th Anniversary On 17 October 2013, the South Regional Committee of the AEB celebrated its 10th anni- versary in Krasnodar. Th e celebration started with the Round Table “Investment climate of Krasnodar Region: experience and prospects of foreign investments’ attraction to the economy of Krasnodar Region”, with the participation of Nikolai Buturlakin, Deputy Head of Administration of the Krasnodar Region. Results and prospects for cooperation between the AEB and the administration of Krasnodar Region were discussed between AEB member companies’ CEOs and high ranking offi cials from the Krasnodar Regional Government. New industrial zones in the Krasnodar Region were considered as a new potential growth point.
